Columbus Day has become bloodthirsty Indians vs genocidal rapist day and this is not good for the country, not good for anyone.
This is why you do not create holidays to pander to voting blocs.
For once, an election fiasco ISN'T Jena Griswold's fault!
800,000 voters got a ballot measure they can't even vote on.
The culprit? The rail district asking voters for big bucks.
If it can't get the ballots right, why trust it to build a railroad?

Why do we need government? Because men are not angels.
Why do we need small limited government with widely dispersed powers? Because men in government are not angels.
Protip: You cannot tax your way into prosperity.
In spite of this eternal truth, both MAGA and the Progressive Left have made taxing their way into prosperity the focus of their economic policies.
I've covered Colorado politics for 18 years. I've never seen anything like this.
A man who won't answer "how many people have you killed?" won the GOP nomination for governor.
Tonite he's on the front page of Drudge. I'm quoted in Michelle Goldberg's piece on how we got here 🧵
(1/2) Former Trump allies and aides who no longer support him:
1. His VP, Mike Pence: “The American people deserve to know that President Trump asked me to put him over my oath to the Constitution. Anyone who puts himself over the Constitution should never be president of the United States.”
2. His 2nd Attorney General, Bill Barr: “Someone who engaged in that kind of bullying about a process that is fundamental to our system and to our self-government shouldn’t be anywhere near the Oval Office.”
3. His 1st Secretary of Defense, James Mattis: “Donald Trump is the first president in my lifetime who does not try to unite the American people – does not even pretend to try. Instead he tries to divide us.”
4. His 2nd Secretary of Defense, Mark Esper: “I think he’s unfit for office. … He puts himself before country. His actions are all about him and not about the country.”
5. His 1st Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson: "Trump’s understanding of global history, his understanding of US history was really limited. It’s really hard to have a conversation with someone who doesn’t even understand the concept for why we’re talking about this.”
6. His Ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley: “He used to be good on foreign policy and now he has started to walk it back and get weak in the knees when it comes to Ukraine. A terrible thing happened on January 6 and he called it a beautiful day.”
7. His presidential transition Vice-Chairman, Chris Christie: “Someone who I would argue now is just out for himself.”
8. His former DHS Chief of Staff, Miles Taylor: "Aides said he talked about Ivanka's breasts, her backside, and what it might be like to have sex with her."
9. His EPA Chief, Scott Pruitt: "I think he's an empty vessel when it comes to things like the Constitution and rule of law."
10. His Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security, Ken Cuccinelli: "Trump admin deported fewer people and at a slower rate than Obama admin and routinely called off large ICE raids and deportation operations."
11. His 2nd National Security Advisor, HR McMaster: “We saw the absence of leadership, really anti-leadership, and what that can do to our country.”

I sincerely hope @ScottBottomsCO will unequivocally condemn this latest violent, vitriolic rhetoric from Joe Oltmann.
I don't expect it, but I hope he does. It's the bare minimum of any gubernatorial candidate.
Politicians can survive a failed promise. What they can't survive is an informed public that remembers it. That's why every failure demands a new excuse and every excuse demands a little more ignorance.
Last year, Abbas Araghchi, the Islamic Republic’s foreign minister, published the English-language version of his own book on deal-making: “The Power of Negotiation: Principles and Rules of Political and Diplomatic Negotiations.”
He made clear that if a diplomatic outcome is more important to Washington than to his regime, his regime will end up on top.
At the start of the war I wrote a piece “The Iran War Is What Trumpism Looks Like.” I argued that Trump wasn’t betraying anybody by launching the war. Now I make the same argument about the Iran “Peace.” Trump has no serious ideological commitments or principles. Chaos and contradiction are what you get. The only consistency is he screws everyone who count on him for more, eventually. https://t.co/3MAu1Xrkfh
The good czar/bad counselors excuse not going to work with Trump. His 2nd term advisers are selected for sycophancy. If they suck (and they do!) it’s not because they go against his instincts. Also, it’s his fault they occupy those positions. He chose them!
