Where to Find Your Stories - Not sure what to write about? Start with your own life. Your first job, your favorite childhood memory, or even a mistake you learned from. These moments are gold.
Write Like Nobody’s Watching
Scared of what people might think? Write like no one will ever read it. This frees you to be honest, bold, and unfiltered. You can decide later if you want to share it.
Your First Draft Is Supposed to Be Messy! If you’re waiting to write something “good,” stop. The first draft is about getting your ideas out, not perfecting them. Think of it as laying the foundation; you can build and decorate later.
Writing After Retirement! Retirement isn’t the end; it’s the beginning of a new story—literally. All those years of wisdom, all those stories you’ve collected? They’re ready to come out.
Set a schedule that works for you. Writing isn’t a job; it’s your gift to yourself.

When someone says, “Your book got me back into reading,” I feel ten feet tall. If one of my thrillers pulled you out of a reading slump, tell me. That story might encourage someone else to pick up a book instead of their phone tonight. Read an excerpt https://t.co/gqjTlIOxDi
Readers we need you! You don’t have to be a critic to write a review. Say it made you laugh. Say it made you angry. Say you finished it in two days. Honest words carry more weight than polished ones. If you’ve read The Law of Karma, I’d love to see your take in a few sentences.
"Empower yourself by embracing the possibility of failure as a step toward success."
Stop fearing the fall and start respecting the process.
Success is often built on the courage to keep going after things did not go as planned.

I found out I had to have BOTH of my hips replaced. Now I’m back better than ever!
I owe much of my incredible recovery to my amazing physical therapist Amy Mourad at AIM Sports Medicine in Hermosa Beach. Under her guidance, I went from walker to cane to hiking for two hours.
I’m so excited to share that I was a panelist for Transformative Career Journeys, a powerful conversation with women whose paths began in the law and led to extraordinary leadership roles beyond the traditional legal field.

I had the honor of joining Tina Tchen of the Obama Foundation and Sarah Shadonix of Scout & Cellar Wines, with the discussion thoughtfully moderated by Beth Hecht of Xeris Pharmaceuticals.
This experience meant so much to me. We reflected on those pivotal moments that shaped our careers, talked about how legal training influences the way we lead and make decisions, and explored the many ways lawyers can take their skills into entirely different industries.
