How do I navigate healthcare when I am truly afraid to engage in healthcare as a practitioner & a patient? How do I navigate trauma recovery & healing cPTSD when I’m constantly required to be vigilant & feel unsafe? The best is holding steady & feeling like crap all the time
@acweyand Man, I wish I'd had this info for the 20 years I had a period before cancer took all the reproductive organs. I had 5 of those things you listed from age 11 until I started birth control in my 20s. And it was awful every time.
Everyone sick with some sort of “hybrid” type of sickness.
I’m really beginning to wonder if the cumulative brain damage from Covid infections is influencing behaviour & recall of past events. The levels of denial are truly astounding now.

@999GGGhost1 🤣🤣🤣 Easy to tell you've never set foot in a US classroom.
The US started this bullshit and they hold onto it for dear life. Nearly every single school system uses PBIS and other behavioral strategies - including public shame. They just package it as "positive".
@theelizajames @robynasaldino My uncle got a "mysterious illness" that put him in a coma and intubated in December 2018. It was a very, very long time before he woke up. When Covid started really spreading, I noted how much it matched my uncle's "mysterious illness".

I think @jonfavs and others don't understand. THIS is how Long Covid happens in the vast majority of cases (including mine):
1. Someone has a relatively mild infection, is not hospitalized, feels "normal" in a couple of weeks, at most.
@TRyanGregory "lockdowns" "mask mandates" "vax mandates" Where do these people imagine they live 'cause it sure ain't reality, where the US pandemic response was lackadaisical, inconsistent, and largely voluntary.
@DiaryofaSickGrl Either ankylosing spondylitis or EDS. Is the pain from the joints themselves or because the connective tissue stopped holding them in place?
Who knows? Not me, that's for sure.
Every day in progressive/leftist/etc. organizing spaces, it's "unite!" "unionize!" "work together!" "organize!" until it comes to COVID safety.
Suddenly, leaving vulnerable people to fend for themselves against a danger to everybody's well-being makes perfect sense.
@michael_hoerger As an immunocompromised Stage IV sarcoma survivor, I'm really happy to see this. I've been NED for 11.5 years, but it feels like I've been abandoned during this pandemic to figure it all out on my own. I love that you'll be helping survivors and their families.
@ALittleScythe @Autistic_Lia Are you also multiply disabled? My arthritis and fibromyalgia make it impossible to get up and get moving in the morning. It takes at least an hour -usually more - before my joints are loose enough to move - and that's just getting out of bed. No way to make it at godawful hours.
@ashleyann_atx I want to make the world a better place for autistic children. I disclose so that it will hopefully be easier for them in the future in all areas of their life especially in education and work.
