Updated question: Which do you consider yourself more of?
1) Extroverted: Recoup lost energy via social situations
2) Introverted: Recoup lost energy via being alone
*note that this isn't about how shy/not shy you are*
@shitpost340 It's rather common for introverted people to be very sociable and good at parties. It's more like, do you go to a party and feel more invigorated after, or do you feel exhausted and just wanna disappear for a week
@tippydoodles Hey it's cool. Also remember that this is a twitter poll. It's possible that extroverts just spend less time on twitter or some other confounding variable
@l_TrainerRed_l I just don't believe human nature necessarily relegates people to ignorance nor that we should just give up on expanding people that are ignorant
@l_TrainerRed_l We'll have to agree to disagree then. I think that the general populace should be encouraged to expand their understanding of things. I don't think that these things should be relegated common/academic forever. Things studied by experts eventually become more common place
@l_TrainerRed_l I also don't think that the separation of academic use and colloquial use is helpful here. Many people use the term the way I do and I think that it will become moreso as we openly discuss it. It seems rather fatalistic to just assume that's how it will be usage forever
@l_TrainerRed_l It's true, I don't know how many people use the term the way I do, so in terms of the poll you're right, it's not informative at all. I mostly did it half mindedly cause I was curious, but in the future I'll put definitions first so it'll be more helpful
@l_TrainerRed_l If anything I think it would be an interesting point of discussion to ask people what they consider to be introverted/extroverted so that I could dispel the common misunderstandings
@l_TrainerRed_l The common definition is certainly not helpful, where they're essentially synonyms for sociable/unsociable. In my time reading up on the topics, they're completely divorced from that. If you're interested enough, I'd recommend looking further into it since I think they're -
