It was so nice to meet @Setrahn@AvalaTheDragon at furrydelphia this year. I love both of your dergs designs and suits! Hope to see you guys at the next con!
@TheBeastcub That explanation by them is pretty solid and I give them props for the transparency. At the end of the day it is better if they can leverage resources they have to find your package instead of having to pay out its value especially since these are one of a kind items.
@TheBeastcub I'm not an insurance expert by any means but I currently work in a tech role in that industry and know a little about how they tend to work.
@TheBeastcub You can certainly express your concern but depending on how willing they are to work with you it likely won't change that much but it depends on the insurance company and the underwriting guidelines they are following.
@TheBeastcub Insurance is a contract of adhesion and the insurance company is offering a service with all the bargaining power. You have almost no power to negotiate more favorable terms. Your choices are accepting their new terms or finding another insurer that might offer better terms.
@TheBeastcub Sounds like they ran a risk assessment and are adding terms to your insurance agreement to lower your assessed risk. It's standard practice of insurance companies. Their goal is to reduce the chance of you having to file a claim and can add terms you must follow to minimize that.
