@Linky61930140 @Bellalindafox@l78lancer@Skepmi ... maybe instead get MSM to acknowledge Biden's & Democrats record breaking accomplishments for more than a week or two this year.
Because when you throw out the rule of law you end up with fascism and we all lose - doesn't matter whether it comes from the right or the left.
@null_space @TamieUSCongress It does too much to juice the limbic system, facilitating the spread of propaganda and facilitates an addictive type of shallow argumentation, fraught with fallacies.

A worthy question, to which there are probably a number of true answers... some which I would be in denial about and some where you would be in denial.
I do think Twitter's format while good for in-group information sharing, is problematic for productive political discourse.
@NYMag@groove_sdc@jonathanchait Starting with pumping the neo-con propaganda to make what by objective standards was a well executed & hugely successful withdraw from a failed occupation (not Saigon) or war (not Syria) to make Afghanistan look a disaster -- it's the media that's been failing our Democracy.
A lot of people's brand depends heavily on Democrats not being able to pass ANY legislation. And I'm not talking about the MAGAs.
Make of that what you will.
@square1_NYC@joshtpm I guess I'm just gullible to believe he didn't read all 755 pages of the Bill/Act.
What's your beef anyway dude?
If you're trying to make a point why not state it plainly & support w/evidence instead of making a fool of yourself using ad hominem & other rhetorical fallacies?
On this day in 2008, when I was doing groceries, Russia invaded Georgia. As the news on Georgian radio were nervously reporting about Russia’s bombing and killing civilians, I was already running to my parents’, with the only thought to see them. 1/9
@square1_NYC@joshtpm Nice Strawman.
All I pointed out is that the headline (as so many headlines) grossly misrepresents the story's content.
I expect they're happy the pipeline through W. Virginia (that wasn't in the Bill) wasn't killed, and Manchin no doubt got them a concession or two.
@square1_NYC@joshtpm ...or that they wouldn't know how to damn with praise.
If their the R's were in charge & gave them everything thing they wanted, big oil would scream bloody murder to make the R's look good.
They play it that way sometimes.
@kw1979@JHCannonMD@drvolts @GhostPanther None.
MSM is too stuck on juicing the public for short term profits using their ("if it bleeds it leads" ...and if it doesn't -- invent a way to splash some blood on it) tactic.
I think I do. Can I give it a shot?
It has to do with the purpose of government.
For some people (like us) purpose of government is to help people. We think fairness is possible, and that the government's job is to try to create fairness.
Others have a different worldview.
