I strongly disagree. That’s a massive stretch of Katara’s character.
She can be emotional and stubborn, but she’s shown a lot of restraint. Even when she confronted the soldier responsible for her mother’s death, she ultimately couldn’t bring herself to bloodbend him.
That’s not someone whose empathy is simply conditional on getting her way.
Unpopular opinion: Katara’s empathy is entirely conditional and driven by her own ego. If you agree with her, she’s sweet.
But the second you challenge her authority, she will steal from you, threaten to assassinate you, or literally bloodbend you.
she just has a massive superiority complex. 💧💀
