@layxsnv If you *are* my late Grandma:
1. It is one word: buttermilk not butter milk.
2. D would be correct - buttermilk, flour, and eggs.
3. Oxford comma is still right.
4. Grams, you have been dead since I was 10. You don't need any of that and quit haunting Threads! ๐
@layxsnv Unless you are my late Gramma and asking for buttermilk (spelled as one word and completely ๐คฎ), the correct answer is B. You'll have to pry that Oxford comma out of my cold, dead hands!
@thefixit56@ma1ybe Read the article, genius. A Russian citizen stabbed another Russian citizen in Dubai. US politics and immigration has NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. Sorry that doesn't fit your Maga agenda talking points but it is what it is...
@cleobug101 1. Teaching, nursing & other "empathy careers" aren't worth less. Imagine society w/o them... Vital stuff.
2. Women in tech (NOT empathy careers) STILL make only $0.83 for every $1 men make for same job descriptions, education, & experience. The pay gap is real.
@BenDempsey18@electionsjoe In uni, you ALWAYS have to cite your sources. It doesn't need to be spelled out in a rubric. Failure to cite anything and you can end up on plagiarism charges... Turnitin and other anti-cheating apps are in heavy use throughout academia these days. No citations is a zero AT BEST.

@ABC In the past, when recessions hit or govt shuts down, the defense industry is generally safe. Not so much this time.
I work for a big defense contractor and they are keeping it on the DL, but HUNDREDS are being laid off, effective next Friday. Ask me how I know... ๐
Rather disappointed that @BBCScotland cut the #WPBC25 Livestream off before the newly crowned G1 World Champions, @InverarayPB got their victory march-off!
Otherwise, great stream and great coverage with commentary by the fabulous and legendary Bob Worrall.
I've been tweeting/posting for years about the money #MDOES raises each year for charity, since I live in MD... But I'm also a member in my home state of PA. Here are their results for 2024-2025. Well done, #PAOES!
@BryanKowacich@allenanalysis A public school, paid for by tax dollars, is basically an agent of the gov.
Displaying ONE religion's iconography/beliefs while excluding others is EXACTLY what Separation of Church & State means. And sooo many conservatives freak out of non-Christian faiths are at schools....
@TrueForgeTV@itsme_121212@allenanalysis America is NOT a religious nation. It was founded by people FLEEING religious nations that persecuted them for believing differently. Some Americans forgot this & push for THEIR religion to reign supreme. But no one person or religion REIGNS in a land with #NoKings
@TrueForgeTV@itsme_121212@allenanalysis "In God We Trust" did not appear on US money until the Civil War era when it was added to a couple of coins - not all, and only sometimes. The phrase was only added to coins regularly and to paper money in the 1950s, when conservatives added them in response to Communism.
@TrueForgeTV@itsme_121212@allenanalysis The Pledge was written in 1892 by a Union officer, post Civil War, to teach kids patriotism. It did not include "United States of America" til later versions & did not include "under God" until the 1950s. It is in the Flag Code but NOT doing the Pledge is a protected legal right.
@MAGA_ATL @HazelAppleyard_ According to the police report, "The man who punched Ms Walsh was described as white, about 5ft 8ins tall, and wearing a pink t-shirt."
Try again, bigot.
@JoshLinvog @HazelAppleyard_ No. Bigot.
"The man who punched *name* was described as white, about 5ft 8ins tall, and wearing a pink t-shirt.
Chief inspector Buttle, of GMP, said: โThis was a violent and unprovoked attack upon a young woman who was simply minding her own business during a night out."
