@GillsInTheBlood Feels all a bit Neil Harris-esque. Look where that got us. Yes we're not always winning 4-1, but they're picking up points. What I would like is a sitrep on some of our injuries. Only thing that grates on me with Gareth is this policy of keeping quiet on injuries.
@JJSharpers Oh people definitely leave for it nowadays. Now we also have people leaving because of this moronic rotation policy. Retention is such a massive issue yet our senior management still refuse to acknowledge it. The MPS have never treated people so badly as they do currently.
@GillsInTheBlood Also, purchases made at the club, whether it be food, drink, or in the club shop is good for the club. We shouldn't be moaning about spending money, because if club income goes up, then the likelihood is that will be reinvested into it, whether off/on the field. It's good!
The Met is swapping police officers around - at cost to the taxpayer, and against the wishes of officers, making us all less safe. @Councillorsuzie calls out these ludicrous plans ๐
@mdtwitchen@obbsie But lots needs to change - supervisors need to trust PCs more, custody shouldn't be so awkward taking prisoners. The infighting between BCU depts. is ridiculous let alone BCU/OCUs. The 'One Met Model' has done the complete opposite of what it was supposed to do ๐
@mdtwitchen@obbsie Yes, the remit thing needs to change, which is why it needs to go back to I & S only and the primary investigation with them. Social services/constants/guards have always been part of it. Upskill & invest in the officers - make it a good place to be and people will stay
@mdtwitchen@obbsie Simple, make it a good place to be. Team deal with I's and S's, deal with primary investigation and hand it over. Not running with their own jobs and entrusted to make decisions on the street as opposed to having to ring people for advice/be micro managed.
@dambury67@obbsie@ConstableChaos This is a bit of a myth. Lots of specialist OCUs have been recruiting recently and struggling to get a decent amount of applications in.
While attention was focused on the protests in central London, Met officers were also on duty in all 32 boroughs keeping communities safe.
As this suspect discovered when he tried to flee, first from officers in a car and then from Police Dog Cerberusโฆ
Iโm sure we have all now seen the footage of Metropolitan rozzers kicking a suspected terrorist in the head, repeatedly, when he was down.
We can all play a part in putting an end to this sort of police brutality. Mainly by not going around stabbing people.
