Celebrating Rubber Ducky Day by setting up a STEM challenge for our students. The students were challenged to save as many duckies as they could from the hot lava.
This activity encourages collaboration, problem solving and mathematical thinking.

We love beginning every math lesson with a math talk. Math talks encourage mathematical thinking and allow students to expand their thinking by hearing one another's ideas! @DP_math@AvilaDPCDSB

We love creating opportunities to experience nature to enhance children's sense of wonder & joy in the world around them. This week, students were invited to use pinecones, fall coloured paint & paper to create fall portraits.

The Best Part of Me.
Today, we asked students to describe the best part of them. We were amazed by all their answers & loved watching our students celebrate themselves!

Ss were invited to explore & collect natural materials in our outdoor space. Ss were then invited to create artwork using their natural pieces. Throughout the process, Ss demonstrated wonder and awe for the natural world. @DPwellness4all@AvilaDPCDSB@dp_EarlyYears
