In conversations with mentees/peers, I refer to "The Difference Makers," when describing the things that have made the greatest impact on my life, business, and relationships.
These things are often the most ignored parts of success stories.
Without movement (action) you never get momentum which is natures bias (support) for those things that are already in motion. Only people who take action ever get to feel the tailwind of momentum.
Believing you can do something is the greatest contributor to whether or not you can do it. It matters more than your finances, abilities, background and network because it’s only when you believe that you can leverage and improve the other components.
There are real barriers to success and some of them get a lot of attention - funding gets the most.
It’s not that funding doesn’t hinder some people, it’s that it’s not what’s hindering most people. Most people won’t achieve their version of success because of their mindset.
Managing limiting beliefs means making conscious decisions to believe that even if we are out of the options we prefer, we aren’t ever out of options.
As long as we’re alive, there’s something we can do to improve our circumstance. If you can’t believe it, you can’t do it.
