On 25th February, Avore Technologies proudly partnered with The UNIMA Wildlife and Environmental Society(UNIMAWES) during their Environmental Awareness Week(Day 3) to take meaningful action against the growing problem of thin plastics on campus.
This was more than just a supply initiative, it was a movement. UNIMAWES members actively moved from one food selling point to another, engaging vendors and students in real conversations about the environmental and health impacts of thin plastics. The goal was not only to raise awareness, but to challenge everyday habits and inspire immediate change.
To support this effort, Avore Technologies provided eco-friendly kraft paper packaging as a practical alternative. Vendors were equipped with sustainable options on the spot, making it easier for them to shift away from plastic without disrupting their businesses. By combining awareness with accessible solutions, the campaign created a powerful model for behavior change.
The initiative was further strengthened through collaboration with Malawi Creation Care Network (MCCN), WasteAdvisors, and Flying Girls Malawi, whose involvement helped amplify the message of responsible waste management and environmental stewardship across campus.
What stood out most was the level of engagement from curious students to open-minded vendors, showing that when awareness meets action, real change becomes possible.
This is how we move forward: not just by talking about sustainability, but by making it practical, visible, and accessible. Together, we are building a cleaner, greener future. One package at a time. ππ±

This is what meaningful collaboration looks like π
Through our partnership with Youth for Environmental Conservation and their Z-Sustainability Lab Program, a five month initiative bridging Africaβs green skills gap through sustainability training and hands-on internships, we are creating real opportunities for young people to gain practical experience in waste management and the circular economy.
We are excited to welcome Lughano Mapunda, our Chemical Engineering intern. π§ͺπ±

When education meets sustainability. ππ±
Learning should never come at the cost of our planet. We were honored to see our paper packaging used by Noble Foundation to support learners at Chigwamafumu in Nsanje District. The school supplies donated were packaged in our paper bags, helping reduce plastic use while ensuring children receive the essentials they need to continue their education.
This collaboration reflects what we believe in at Avore Technologies β that sustainable choices, no matter how small, can create meaningful impact. By choosing environmentally responsible packaging, we are not only protecting our beloved planet but also supporting communities and investing in a more hopeful future for the next generation. π

Driven by the waves of passion, we strongly believe that transitioning to nature-based packaging solutions can play a huge role in conserving marine ecosystems. At Avore Tech, we're reimagining packaging to be debris-free (micro-plastics free), breaking down into nutrient-rich compounds that are vital for certain species in the ecosystem. By adopting circular economy principles, we can tip the scales in favor of marine life, outnumbering plastic waste in the ocean.ππ± #SDG14 #marineconservation #beatplastic #CircularEconomy
