Saxony and thuringy are similar to franconia and hessen. The harz mountains is identical to parts of niedersachsen and westphalia.

And mecklenburg is similar to schelwsig holstein.

@South_Euro_ @neddersassencel Southern germans fall into a nordic-alpine looking gradient. Most of them are what we would called "Subnordid", same as the belgians and southern dutch for example.

They are still half germanic and half celtic same as the rest of germany.
