Let me be honest. I wanted to stay Muslim so badly.
Not even because of God or faith at first, but because of the life attached to my faith.
My dad’s businesses were waiting for me - all signed and ready.
My mom’s community surrounded me: doctors, lawyers and politicians.
Bro, success was laid out in front of me. There was even an arranged marriage lined up for me. She was on track to be a doctor. Beautiful future with the house, the wedding, all of it.
All I had to do was say one sentence:
“Yeah, I still believe.”
That was it. If I said it, I could keep the money, keep the family approval and keep the life I had always known.
But here’s the problem, once I met Him, I could not unsee Jesus.
When I really read the Quran and compared it to the Gospel, I couldn’t force myself back into pretending Islam was the truth.
Honestly bro, knowledge becomes heavy at that point. I didn’t leave Islam to rebel, despite what many believe about me.
I left because I could not betray what I believed was true. No business opportunity, no relationship, no comfortable future was worth denying the King who gave His life for me.
So yeah, my life would have been easier if I stayed. But when Jesus says, “I am the way,” you don’t answer with, “But the other path feels safer.”
You pick up your cross and walk.

Do you know that they are thugs who deliberately destroy roads to create traffic during rush hours, extort drivers, and then collect taxes from those hawking around the area where they created the problem?
I have seen these guys operating before in the Ajah area.
The reason you cannot make a U-turn in certain areas at night is that these thugs are waiting for motorists. When it gets dark, they attempt to place tires in front of your car. If you stop, you will regret it that night.
I could go on, but these recurring problems certainly have culprits who are not afraid of the law.

I remember first time I had a tete a tete with Sir Kunle Afolayan. I realised that he likes Japanese whiskey. I started asking him why he likes it and all. He gave me a whole bottle for keeps.
I secretly thought to myself I had to buy him something, since he likes cigars. I asked my friend who knows cigars well how much I can get a case of his brand. When I heard the price of the cigar case too. I be like haaa. Poor man no see life come ooo. Jeje, I enter market go buy him a goat. 😅😅😅

If a man can cry passionately at Beyoncé’s concert, don’t allow anyone to make you feel bad for crying in church. Don’t apologize for loving Jesus — Pastor Iren tells Christians
Apostle Emmanuel Iren has challenged Christians who feel pressured to defend their devotion to God, questioning why some people consider passionate expressions of faith embarrassing while celebrating similar levels of loyalty in secular settings.
Speaking during a sermon, the cleric recalled seeing a video of a grown man crying while American singer Beyoncé performed, wondering why such an emotional reaction was accepted while Christians who sing and praise God are sometimes mocked.
“As a man, why are you crying when Beyonce is singing? As a man, you are a joker. But if they find you in church singing and praising the Lord, they call you a fool for it,” he said.
Using football as an example, he pointed out that some fans purchase season tickets in advance to attend multiple matches, yet may question Christians who give financially to support their churches.
He also compared religious devotion to football fandom, asking why a pastor’s framed photograph in someone’s home might appear unusual to some people, while displaying an image of Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo, popularly known as CR7, would hardly attract the same reaction.
According to the preacher, human beings are naturally inclined to worship, and those who do not worship God may end up devoting themselves to other things.
“Every human being is created to worship, and the ones who don’t worship God are worshipping something,” he said, adding that people who ridicule Christians for following God may also have things they hold in high regard.
However, Iren stressed that Christians should examine their practices in the light of the Bible and avoid extremes before dismissing criticism.
He urged believers not to feel ashamed of their faith or generosity towards the gospel, declaring: “Don’t apologise for loving Jesus. Don’t apologise for being generous to the course of the gospel. Don’t apologise.”

Look at what the Lord has done. A crowd too wide to count, gathered under one sky, lifting one song, and a city that went to sleep one night and woke up to something it will never forget.
