A Denver woman says she tried to lower her thermostat before putting her daughter to bed... and couldn't believe the message that popped up.

Her home was sitting at 79 DEGREES.

When she tried turning the AC down, her thermostat reportedly told her:

“You are not allowed to lower your thermostat set point because the energy grid in your regional area is stressed.”

In other words, the utility’s demand response program had temporarily taken control of her thermostat.

She eventually found a way to opt out but says THAT'S the problem.

What happens when it's an elderly person?

Someone with a medical condition?

And while residents are being asked to conserve electricity, massive new data centers are being built to power the explosion in AI and cloud computing.

One project underway in Denver is expected to become a major data center campus capable of providing computing power for AI, search and other services.

Ss electricity demand continues growing, people are asking a much bigger question:

When the grid gets stressed, WHO gets priority?

Counties are canceling Flock contracts and spending tens of millions on Axon systems instead.

About 25% of Axon is owned by BlackRock, Vanguard, and State Street. The same firms that have openly talked about “forcing behaviors.”

Axon’s CEO has said their goal is to build a society where crime “just doesn’t make sense anymore” through constant monitoring.
