As a boy I was a hermit crab, but I soon came out of my shell. Now I am a pincer crab, and soon I will be at my full power as a deadly nuclear lobster.
Another month, another topster.
This one is quite different though. 56 Albums since the last one and I enjoyed them all so much it felt bad to leave any off so I've done a grid.
Each row I enjoyed more than the next, albums are not sorted within the rows. All great listens.
Here's a topster for my favourite first-time listens so far this year:
Will either make a fresh one or update this one every 50-75 albums, still taking suggestions and I've got a backlog of previous suggestions that I haven't got around to yet.
As always still taking suggestions. I have a bunch I still need to listen to but am trying to gradually ease myself into stuff that is more out of my musical comfort zone so if I haven't listened to something you suggested yet, that is probably why.
@lexicuhls For QotSA I would either recommend Lullabies to Paralyze next as it's very much the successor to Songs for the Deaf, or I would recommend ...Like Clockwork as it's their next best and definitely my favourite of theirs.

Taking album suggestions. Not doing one album every single day as that ship has already sailed, but aiming to listen to 365 albums over the year. Listened to 31 so far and have some ideas for what's next but am keen for input.
@FamilyGuyTikTok There are 20 albums that I didn't include on here since it's a list of my favourites, and also, topster has presets for 40, 42 and 100. Not a single bad album on here.
@Ethan02Williams Actually was referring to Tool as the second band since I haven't listened to the Porcupine Tree album yet, but I'll put it on the list anyway since it sounds like they'll be up my alley
@Ethan02Williams Today I listened to the supertramp album you suggested as well. What would be your best suggestions for next listens from the two bands.
@NoodleBarWill I mean I think saying you don't like any of their songs is totally fair. Saying they haven't made a single good song is a super hot take, especially considering the era their music came out. I will say that I don't think a lot of their music aged super well though.
@NoodleBarWill I mean I can definitely get not liking them, I don't normally listen to them and do find a lot of their songs really repetitive and meh, but I think saying they never made a single good song is a crazy take. Otherside? Under the Bridge?
