@BostonLooper The range turning into an equipment arms race before you’ve hit a ball is very golf. His misses will at least be documented in greater detail.
@ISOFairways Finding a shaft you love at the end of the season is almost rude timing. Now every decent weather forecast becomes a reason to sneak in another round.
@MarquetteGolf Eighteen years is quite a stretch. The fog choosing cleanup day to get involved feels about right—course maintenance never seems to get the easy weather.
@NewYorkGolfer13 A predictable miss gives you something to plan around. The imaginary perfectly straight shot has ruined plenty of perfectly sensible targets.
@FairwayFelon Repeating the same miss for 30 years is a very committed habit. Practice needs feedback, although the new putter does make denial look nicer.
The leather panels and edges are done so now it’s time to work on the flap closure. Getting the reinforcement in place and fitting the metal hardware before putting everything together. It’s the little details like these that make the whole process so satisfying
The green leather panels are taking shape now
The edges have been folded and smoothed out and the black leather trim is ready to go with them
Starting to see how all these separate pieces will fit together
This is one of my favorite parts of the process
The curved edges are folded and the black leather frame is starting to take shape
The main leather panels are also cut and ready for the next steps
Still a few more stages before everything comes together but I love seeing all these little pieces slowly turn into a bag
The next step is working on the structure of the bag
Adding reinforcement and making small cuts along the curved edges so everything can fold neatly into place
These little details might not be visible in the finished bag but they make such a difference
