@ProfKindeya How revealing; U remind us of 'Mollie'- the pig in Orwell's Animal Farm who betrays the core cause of 'animalism' for personal gain and runs away to work for the the enemy. Alas, otherthan your brotherin, few have descended to the lowest level than you.
The Madness Continues! #Tigray
While the negotiators were at Pretoria in November 2022, the then TPLF leadership, especially Dr Debretsion was desperately crying out to Getachew Reda to sign an agreement the soonest possible. I recall that military commanders would come to my office, explain the situation at the battle fronts & ask me to call Getachew and push to sign a deal. As the commanders were aware about what was happening at the battle ground, they were right to insist for at least a cease fire. We all know what was saved due to the signed CoHA.
However, after the agreement was signed, the TPLF Executive Committee immediately started denouncing the agreement. First, it was said that the delegation shouldn’t have signed on the behalf of the TPLF and hence we should disown it. There was much heated debate within the TPLF Central Committee, reaching a point of polarized "suicide politics," where someone said, would rather commit suicide than accepting while the another one saying would rather commit suicide than not accepting. Nevertheless, because the majority of the Central Committee accepted it, the Pretoria Agreement was sanctioned. Dismayed by the decision of the CC, the executive committee came forward with a concealed roadmap to impede the implementation of agreement with time.
After a month or so, surprisingly, those who used to say "tear the agreement up", once they assumed their power is guaranteed, started heralding the acceptance of the agreement. They even went to the extent of declaring that we shouldn’t have needed a third party in the first place, and continued as far as bowing until their backs bent begging for an appointment to secure power,
Now, since everything has failed them (and may we be spared from such calls, as we were also elected for the Council), the madness continues by summoning a Council dissolved by Pretoria Agreement, they claim to be the signatories. The speed they are going to dislodge the Interim Regional Administration and install the dissolved Council of 2020 would have been fortunate had this been used for development. They are gathering elderly parents in meeting halls and making them to support their evil moves by raising hands —people who look like they can barely carry their own hands, let alone hold a machine gun. These hands are antennas of destruction.
However, the youth, who are expected to be sacrificed in the war, are not part of the decision making. The "War Traders" are the ones deciding for them. But the Tigray youth have woken up and are saying “No" to war . Our entire community is also bypassing these meetings by either not showing up or remaining silent. Many are also opposing them with grit. This should be encouraged and supported.
Recently, I heard a former comrade of ours saying, "We are prepared enough for war; we have tactical allies," etc. This is a fairy tale that does not exist. Military commanders have told the group of madness clearly. But no one is there to listen. For example, recently (as the military training head in Aksum described), they aimed to recruit 15,000 youth for training, but they only managed to deceive and bring in fewer than 100. Even those, I don't think will stay. There is nothing noteworthy to speak of in other preparations as well. Our youth have done well by saying no. Let this continue. Even those in the army are not on a fighting mode. Even if there were sufficient military capacity and preparedness, there is no benefit for Tigray that can be secured through war at the moment. The preferred option to secure Tigray's interest, autonomy and constitutional right is through dialogue and debate short of a threshold of war!
We must not allow a few individuals to decide Tigray”s destiny. We must prove in practice that Tigray is greater than a few power mongers.
Let us struggle so that Tigray stays far from war and the drums of war, and instead hikes on the path of development and democracy!
Peace takes a courage! #Tigray #Ethiopia
@ProfKindeya#Tigray is certainly much greater than any single group and certainly including the renegade clique you squarely belong to. Hands off #Tigray & #Tegaru's cause!
The Madness of the Retrograde Group Must End #Tigray
The madness of this retrograde group, which regards Tigray as its private property, continues. It is actively preparing to drag Tigray back into war. For this group, peace is the ultimate enemy, while power and dominance are its only allies. It will explore every option to achieve these ends.
This criminal group has decided yesterday to restore the 2020 Regional Council—a move that paves the way for future conflict and directly violates the Pretoria Agreement. Furthermore, it has summoned military commanders to Aksum to issue operational orders.
Every peace-seeking Tigrayan must organize immediately and resolutely resist this ongoing madness to bring it to a halt. This moment demands the highest level of participation from our entire population, the Tigray forces, political parties, civic organizations, and various social organisations.
We must prove through our actions that #Tigray is much greater than any single group, let alone these criminals.
@awolallo living aside ur new-ethiopianist pontification a la brand #FascistAbiy, sounds ur concern really is the fate of ur 'peace laureate's 2nd round campaign of genocide. The stain never washes out!
@reda_getachew
You've long proved your 'neo-ethiopianist' sole a la #FascistAbiy brand with an iota of a ትግራዋይ grain in u. This's nothing otherthan exesive 'adoptive manuvering' & being the puppet & parroting wont fool even your masters.
The shenanigans of #FascistAbiy n his renegade elit continues, this time purporting that there is an 'independent' judiciary exists in Ethiopia... and @reda_getachew's drama from 'አላምንም' to look I can make a difference. U're only fooling yourself!
Multiple political organizations of #Tigray have officially rejected #AbiyAhmed’s decision to remove five of Tigray’s 38 electoral districts and transfer them to federal jurisdiction, a move widely viewed by these actors as unlawful and politically motivated.
Of the five districts, three, Humera, Adi Remets, and Tselemti, are located in Western Tigray, while the remaining two, Korem Ofla and Raya Alamata are in Southern Tigray.
The political organizations that have publicly opposed this decision listed alphabetically include:
•Arena Tigray (Arena for Democracy and Sovereignty of Tigray)
•National Congress for Great Tigray (Baytona)
•Salsay Weyane Tigray
•Simret Party (Solidarity Party), led by Getachew Reda
•Tigray Independence Party
•Tigray Interim Regional Administration, led by General Taddesse Werede
•Tigray Peace Force, armed force against TPLF led by General G/Her Beyene
•Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF), led by Debretsion Gebremichael
•Tinsae Seb’a’a Enderta (Resurrection of the Seb’a’a Enderta)
•Wolkait Civil Society
•Wolodo Party (Generations Party)
What is striking is that such a rare, unified voice exists in rightly rejecting this federal intervention, yet a similarly united and proactive front committed to establishing a genuinely inclusive civilian administration in Tigray, independent of the current TPLF-dominated political and military structure, has not materialized.
Such an inclusive and broadly legitimate internal administration would not only restore public trust; it would also serve as a political shield, deterring uncalled-for and destabilizing interventions from Addis Ababa by grounding authority firmly in the collective will of Tigray’s people rather than in factional control.
@GetachewAssefa_ No surprise that you're surprised by @FascistAbiy's latest move, for it is the blinding effect of your vengence led perspective n associated fanning the cause of rengades of #Tigray n #Tegaru. Hands off!
Since the #PretoriaAgreement, and especially after the January 23, 2025 decision by the #Tigray corps and above-corps army leaders, #AbiyAhmed’s action today has done something few thought possible: it has reignited a fractured #Tigrayan political space into a rare moment of unified outrage.
From the Simret Party, operating out of #AddisAbaba under the chairmanship of Abiy Ahmed’s own Advisor on East African Affairs, Getachew K Reda, to the Tigray Peace Forces that waged armed struggle against the TPLF, voices that were divided are now converging in opposition to Abiy Ahmed’s decision to take out vast territory of Tigray. The anger cuts across factions that previously stood on opposite sides of political and military lines.
Ironically, the only clear beneficiary of this decision appears to be the #TPLF and its generals, actors who had increasingly faced rejection from both the youth and significant segments of the elite. By externalizing the threat and centralizing power yet again, Abiy Ahmed’s decision risks restoring relevance to the TPLF whose legitimacy had been steadily eroding.
If the decision is not reversed, several scenarios become plausible. One is that non-TPLF Tigrayan political actors, including Simret, may choose not to participate in the upcoming general election in May under Addis Ababa’s framework. Another is more consequential: political and military leaders operating from outside Tigray, and previously aligned in varying degrees with Addis Ababa, could decisively sever their relationship with Abiy Ahmed altogether.
In either case, the political landscape shifts.
@reda_getachew Quite surprising coming from u. Are yoy claiming you didn't see it coming, or that you had no part in it? Either way, u are only fooling yourself n it's clear @FascistAbiy has used u and discarded u without secong thought; face it, your political carrier is over.
Hands off Tigray and Tegaru's cause! Enough, no place for someone who has and is trading with the blood of those who paid wth thier life for his survival.
The saying goes "ከዝንጀሮ ቆንጆ ..." and we've one recommending the other's sudden 'enlightment' moment in his dying days, seemingly a confession of guilt for totaly supporting a fascist on account of those whom he perports are his people for he's now turned against the same..
“The Debacle of the Sovereignty of the People in the Hands of Ethiopia’s Dictators”
In his latest article, Professor Messay argues that Ethiopia’s political crisis goes far beyond leaders or ethnic federalism. He points to a deep cultural legacy that glorifies power and conditions society to accept domination. Until Ethiopians rethink the meaning of power itself and dismantle the structures that enable authoritarianism, simply changing regimes will not bring genuine democracy—a sharp and thought-provoking read on why dictatorship keeps returning.

You're a lasting wound in our collective memory n
your day of judgment will come!
#AddisAbaba has steadily tightened pressure on #Tigray – cutting fuel deliveries, choking off access to cash, withholding federal transfers and slashing IDP aid. Observers say the goal is to push the #TPLF toward a risky military gamble. #Ethiopia

@GetachewAssefa_ No surprise if you claim to be on the side of 'change' for there is no way of knowing what blinds & propels you... no doubt though that you are bent on purporting division and the demise of Tegaru's & Tigray's cause. HANDS OFF Tegaru's & Tigray's cause!
#Tigray Army Dismisses Army 35 Member over Remarks on TPLF “Decay” and Questioning “Tsimdo” with #Eritrea
A member of the Tigray Defense Forces (TDF), Teklit Tsegay Araya, has been dismissed following a disciplinary case involving alleged political and conduct violations, according to documents reviewed by this UMD Media.
Teklit, who served with TDF’s Army 35 until this week, hails from Humera in Western Tigray, a region that remains under occupation following the genocidal war against Tigray. He joined the TDF on April 22, 2021, and most recently served as a military police criminal investigator within his regiment.
The charges brought against him span several incidents. These include allegedly referring to the TPLF as a “decayed party” during a meeting on April 14, 2024; raising questions about the nature and purpose of tsimdo, the politico-military leadership’s engagement with Eritrea, during a meeting on August 18, 2025; and, in his capacity as a military police criminal investigator, expressing disagreement with decisions related to a fellow fighter accused of disciplinary transgression on November 16, 2025. Additional charges include openly declaring membership in the Tigray Independence Party (TIP/ውናት) during a criticism and self-criticism meeting on November 21, 2025, as well as maintaining contacts and undertaking travel that authorities allege occurred without proper authorization and were characterized as politically suspicious.
In a detailed written response, Teklit rejected the accusations, arguing that his statements amounted to principled political critique rather than disciplinary violations. He maintained that Tigray’s crisis cannot be resolved by a single political party, defended his right to question political messaging presented to soldiers, and said his opposition to informal engagement with Eritrea stemmed from concerns about undermining the Pretoria Agreement and risking renewed conflict.
Teklit confirmed his membership in the Tigray Independence Party while stating that he simultaneously served as a member of the TDF. He denied traveling without authorization, saying all movements were approved by his superiors, and noted that some of his travel related to addressing family hardship. Like many residents of Western Tigray, his family has been displaced and is currently living as refugees in Sudan.
Despite his point-by-point defense, the army command on December 8, 2025, upheld the dismissal decision issued by the regiment command, with the termination taking effect on December 9, 2025.
People UMD Media spoke to observed that the core issue may have been Teklit’s questioning of tsimdo, particularly given his earlier remarks about the TPLF during a meeting that sources say took place two years ago. They noted that this is especially striking given that the TPLF leadership itself, in a publicly released self-appraisal, acknowledged that the party had decayed.

Shamelessly nothing!
Twenty five years on from the landmark Security Council resolution on Women, Peace and Security, rape and sexual violence continue to be used as weapons of war. We must not relent in our work until these horrific harms are consigned to history.

@GetachwAssefa- What's painning Tegaru & Tigray is mainly the desietful posing as 'objective' & 'liberal' while effectively funning the genocider's agenda. Fifth columnist saboteurs Hands off Tigray & Tegaru's Cause!
Some #Tigrayans who claim neutrality quietly employ subtle tactics to legitimize the #TPLF’s authoritarian grip, while keeping up a façade of objectivity. These strategies often show up in carefully worded posts on platforms like Facebook and X, or in articles that echo TPLF talking points under the guise of balanced analysis.
Here are seven common tactics to watch for, use them to identify and challenge efforts to normalize the TPLF’s authoritarianism under the cover of neutrality:
1. Portraying the TPLF as #Tigray’s only legitimate representative, dismissing alternative voices as illegitimate or divisive.
2. Framing authoritarianism as a wartime መኸተ necessity, excusing repression and lack of transparency as necessary for survival.
3. Gaslighting internal critics as traitors or tools of the enemy, undermining dissent by questioning critics’ loyalty to Tigray.
4. Hijacking progressive language to defend power, using the language of justice, equality, or resistance to justify abuse and silence dissent.
5. Selective outrage and strategic silence, loud on external injustices, silent on TPLF’s internal repression and failures.
6. Whataboutism as a shield, deflecting valid criticism of the TPLF by pointing to other actors’ wrongdoings.
7. Blaming victims of repression, painting whistleblowers and dissenters as attention-seekers, ego-driven, or destabilizing.
Now put on your detective hat, figure out which trick they're using, and when you spot it, don’t just nod knowingly, call it out like your Wi-Fi depends on it! 😄

@GetachewAssefa_ sounds the 'design profession' isn't engaging U enough; if anything, stick to your profession, and stop meddling with Tigaru's & Tigray's cause and attempting to agenda set trumpian style.
As a concerned Tigrayan Ethiopian, I must speak up—because silence is no longer an option.
The Tigrayan Genocide, led by Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, is one of the deadliest and most ignored atrocities of the 21st century. Alongside him were co-conspirators: Isaias Afwerki of Eritrea, Amhara regional forces, the Fano militia, and foreign actors like the UAE and Turkey, all with the silent complicity of the West.
This was not a war—it was a coordinated campaign of extermination, and Abiy Ahmed is the chief architect of it.
The numbers speak for themselves:
• Over 1 million Tigrayans killed
• More than 120,000 women raped
• 2 million internally displaced
• Over 100,000 refugees forced into Sudan
• Hundreds of thousands more forced to flee Ethiopia entirely
• 40% of Tigray still under foreign and enemy occupation
And yet, the world has turned its back. The victims are being blamed. The narrative has been rewritten. We are no longer even allowed to say “genocide” without being silenced.
We Tigrayans once stood firm, demanding accountability and justice. Today, those demands have been watered down into begging for peace—a false peace, made without justice, with those who slaughtered our people still in power and walking free.
Worse, we are now fighting each other. Tigrayans are turning on one another, becoming propaganda machines for the very forces that tried to wipe us out. Our own leaders are failing us, consumed by infighting and ego, with some even collaborating with the same enemies who led the genocidal war against our people.
Let us be clear:
Peace without justice is a lie.
Peace without accountability is surrender.
Peace without unity is destined to fail.
This genocide continues—through starvation, military occupation, political betrayal, and forced displacement. The world may look away. But we will not.
We are Tigray.
We are the survivors.
We are the resistance.
Now is the time to rise.
It’s time to stop the infighting.
It’s time to stop being afraid.
It’s time to unite—across all divides—and demand the justice we deserve.
We must also demand our fundamental right to self-determination.
Tigrayans must be allowed to hold a referendum and decide our own future—whether within Ethiopia or outside of it. After all we’ve endured, no one else has the right to dictate our fate.
Only through truth, unity, and courage can we bring about a lasting peace—one that honors our martyrs, defends our dignity, and ensures that never again will Tigray bleed in silence.
We have not forgotten. We will not forgive without justice. And we will never stop fighting for Tigray.
