I want Nigerians to know that this life they're living is odd for most of the world. Even in nations in the middle of a war, things are not this difficult.

What a terrible city to live in. All in the span of just above 3 years, everything went to literal shit.

In case you don’t know what’s happening, yesterday over 15 NYSC members were kidnapped. Nobody is talking about it because the media is obeying Tinubu’s instructions.
These are people’s children; their parents spent years of hard work training them in university. 💔🤯
I can’t help but notice that everything has become a trend, including the deen. The souls are longing for a quieter kind of faith — the prayer nobody sees, the du’a nobody hears, the good deed that receives no recognition.
1. Don’t become responsible for regulating their emotions.
You can comfort your partner. You can support them through difficult emotions. But you cannot become their emotional regulation system. If they need you to constantly calm them down, reassure them, fix their moods or prevent them from spiraling, eventually you will become emotionally overwhelmed. Support them, but don’t become responsible for feelings they need to learn to manage themselves.
