Me: Dad I want to make my hair
Him : Go and make it now
Me: Money
Him: How much?
Me 3500 ( in my head; attachment x2=800, stylist=1000, transport and miscellaneous =1000. Pocket the rest)
Him: Ha! Isn’t it better if you barb it? My barber takes 100, it is when I want to dash him money that I pay 200
Me: OK goes back to my room
30 minutes later
Him: Aren’t you making your hair again?
Me: But you said I should go and cut it now
Him: you better do quick. I will not wait for you o. I’m going to town now.
Me : Rushed to the bathroom to take a bath and get ready
He drops me at the saloon
Him: Call me him when you’re done and gives me 3500
2hrs later he calls, are you done? I’m going home o
Me: We’re not even half done. I’ll just meet you at home
Him: aren’t you hungry
Me: I am very hungry, but I’ll just buy mineral and biscuits.
Him: OK don’t stay out too late.
Me: OK sir
A few moments later he calls again to ask how many of us were in the saloon? My dad brought food for all 3 of us. The woman making my hair asked if he was my boyfriend and I said my Dad, the other lady said maybe she is his only child. This man has 9 of us and he is like that with every single one
He went ahead to wait 2 extra hours just to take me home, so I don’t have to go home by myself at night.
Also the first to compliment my hair even though he complained about it being too much and too long.
That man has loved me my entire life, being actively present and I would give him the entire universe if I could.
Someone asked me my sign and I immediately said Christian 😌. They asked again…I said the cross. They laughed and said no seriously what’s your zodiac sign…I told them I don’t believe in that, I believe in Jesus.
We can’t be followers of Christ and believe in that nonsense. 😌
When I lost my first USD remote job, it made me realize how very little many of us know about timezones.
Nigeria runs on West Africa Time (WAT).
And Nigeria's time is also expressed as GMT+1 and UTC+1.
Not GMT.
Not UTC.
GMT+1 and UTC+1.
What this means is that when it comes to GMT & UTC, Nigeria is +1 hour ahead, and WAT is Nigeria’s official time zone.
So practically speaking:
If it’s • 12:00 PM GMT • 12:00 PM UTC
Then it is • 1:00 PM in Nigeria (WAT)
That +1 hour difference matters.
Many people casually schedule meetings in GMT or UTC, and Nigerian workers assume it’s the same as their local time, but it’s not.
Another thing many newbies don’t know is that some countries change their clocks twice a year because of Daylight Saving Time.
But Nigeria does not.
So the time difference between Nigeria and some countries changes depending on the time of the year.
Example:
A 9AM meeting in New York might be:
• 3PM in Nigeria during one part of the year • 2PM in Nigeria during another
If you don’t understand this, you miss meetings, you respond late, and you look unreliable.
And in remote work, reliability is everything.
The easiest way to avoid timezone mistakes is to:
1. Always confirm the timezone used (GMT, UTC, etc.)
2. Convert every set time immediately to WAT
3. Save it in your calendar
4. Never assume. Always verify that you’ve converted corrected.
Tools like Google Calendar and World Time Buddy make this easy.
Remote work is global, and understanding the relationship between GMT, UTC, and WAT is one of those tiny details that determine whether you keep a job or lose one.
Hope this helps.
We were at a party when one of his old friends the kind who thinks she’s funny said,
“If you ever get tired of her, you know where to find me.”
She smiled like it was harmless.
Before I could even process it, he said, “I don’t entertain disrespect. Especially not toward my wife.”
No laugh. No “she’s joking.” No softening it.
The room shifted.
He didn’t protect my feelings quietly later. He protected my dignity right there.
And I realized something that night loyalty isn’t what someone says in private. It’s what they shut down in public.
I wanna buy churches like this that are shutting down across England.
So if you know a church that's for sale and potentially closing down, let me know. I wanna buy a church.
I don't care if it's got planning permission to return to flats redeveloped. I don't care.
I wanna buy it. I don't care how profitable the conversion will be.
If it was built as a church, I believe it needs to stay as a church.
I want to save churches like this one from being shut down and sold off to developers all across the UK.
I love making profit in property, but when someone's being built as a church to honour Jesus Christ, that's a no no.
There's revival coming in England and we need to keep our churches open. Ready for what’s to come.
Is this a good idea you would support?
Pastor Kumuyi has been preaching everyday running into two weeks now and some days twice
He did crusade in Port Harcourt for 5 days, in Bori for 3 Days, and now in Ahaoda.
He will still preach on Monday evening, and then he's planning another 11 days program still in March. Edo and Delta States.
He's 84 years old. 🥺
In the last four years through GCK, he has seen 30 million recorded decisions for Christ.
What God's grace can do with a surrendered life is unthinkable.
Awon once saved forever saved
Please help me answer this question
If you are on the bed committing adultery say with your neighbour’s wife and the trumpet sounds, will you go to heaven??
Because the previous week you accepted Jesus??
What are we even saying???
I reported him to my daddy. He came to school and had a conversation with him. The lecturer avoided me thereafter and gave me an A+ in the exam. I am an A student normally but I suspect he met aura for aura with my daddy.

If we spent the same amount of time teaching men about how to be good husbands the way we teach women to be good wives, we would have fewer divorces and better marriages
These days I don’t mince words when I’m speaking about certain things
I say it like it is
Anyone that is not grown enough to hear things like sex, breast etc should not have a phone in the first place
While we are keeping things PG, the devil is stealing the next generation
One of the biggest gifts my mother gave me was to tell me everything first before I heard it outside
My mum sat me down as an 11 year old and gave me the download
She told me about boys
She told me about my emotions and how I would start “crushing “
She told me about my body and how it was changing in the light of scripture and society
So when the floodgates of puberty opened, I was ready.
When men saw me in the streets and thought they saw me”mumu” they could eat for lunch, my mum had gone ahead
Infact, me and my mum were using them as gist to bond
Dear Christian parent, leaders, youth ministers, mentors, counselor, coaches,
Go there with them before the world and the devil does
Let our young people be free with us.
Let your children be able to tell you anything.
Laugh with them about it.
Normalize talks about sex.
Normalize talking about the opposite gender with them. Safely. With light of scriptures.
Blessings !
I AM TIRED…
I am tired of this modern Christianity that can shift culture but cannot confront darkness.
I am tired of this tush Christianity that wants to trend but lacks spiritual weight.

Ladies, marry the man who isn’t afraid to pray with you now. Because when you’re pregnant, you’ll need a husband who will pray over your womb, your pregnancy, and your baby without any hesitation.
