Tarot has been one of the greatest healing tools in my life. I received my first deck when I was a teenager, the Motherpeace Tarot. Myth, legend and folklore always gave me the sense that there is an ancient path that is right under my feet if I take a moment to listen deeply. I designed Celtic Elemental Tarot to share something of this field of wisdom that opens up for me when I work with the cards. I don't focus on divination as much as attunement to the realms of support, the guidance that is always available to us as we walk through this world. The future is malleable and I love to co-create my path in a way that feels real and wholesome.
I also love working with my publisher Findhorn Press/ Inner Traditions. The deck is stunning. I finally held the published deck in my hand last week and Belle just received her first deck. She had me on the phone as she opened the package and I could hear her sob with joy.
So if anyone is frightened of tarot, I ask you to reconsider. It's all in the way you use it. For me tarot is a way of finding a place for each part of my psyche. It is a way of discovering wholeness. It gives the wild woman, the wild man and the fool within me a place to play and delight in the world.
Can you think of a greater gift?

Fabulous news! Another five star review has come in for Riddles of the Ancestors.
Riddles of the Ancestors: Legends of the Grail Series by Ayn Cates Sullivan is a towering epic fantasy that crosses millennia, dimensions, and cultures. Humanity is slowly destroying our very planet, and perhaps the only way to save it before it is too late is to delve into the mystical and magical world of the past. From modern-day London to inter-dimensional space and time, we find ourselves on a journey to seek help from the ancients, Merlin and his twin sister Ganieda, to restore balance to the universe. Along the way, readers will be immersed in Celtic lore, the Druidic stronghold of Mona (or modern-day Anglesea), Avalon and the Knights of Camelot, ancient Greek, Roman, and Egyptian gods, with dragons, and at the centerpiece of everything, the famous “Round Table.” The journey will open readers’ minds to the possibilities and unlimited power of not only the universe but of our individual minds. This is a journey of discovery that will reveal hidden truths
through an epic fantasy adventure. Riddles of the Ancestors is a compelling adventure. Author Ayn
Cates Sullivan weaves together many different cultures, legends, and magic in a coherent story that makes sense and is eminently believable. I truly appreciated the different time frames and realms the author uses to unravel the twisting journey through time, culture, and space. To successfully combine and make sense of
different folk histories and lore takes great literary skill, and the author has achieved this delicate assignment. I loved that the underlying theme was to reveal the reality of the world in which we live, and more importantly, the power of each individual to shape and create the environment around us through the power of thought. The idea of a collection of “golden ages” throughout
history gives us hope that there is still more to come in our human journey.
This is the fourth book in the Legends of the Grail series, but it is a standalone story that can be enjoyed on its own. It will make readers want to read more from this creative and talented
author. The prose is, at times, exquisitely lyrical and poetic, carrying readers on a linguistic journey they will enjoy greatly. I thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend it.

Part of the fun of writing a novel is getting to know the protagonist well. Few know that Merlin had a twin sister named Ganieda, who was also very magical and built Merlin's Observatory for him so he could view the movement of the stars. A friend dared me to put on a silver cape and walk through Hampstead Heath. I thought the idea sounded grand and was amused to notice that in London no one does a double take when a druidess walks by!!! Dressed in silver, it became clear to me that Ganieda is indeed magical.
However, I tend to nibble on my fingernails as I await my first reviews for a new book, especially a novel. Riddles of the Ancestors is now available on Amazon.
I am thrilled to say that the first review is from a fan of myth and legend who has given Riddles of the Ancestors a 5 Star Review! Yippee! I have attached the silver star. With their love of stars, I am certain both Merlin and his sister would approve!
Here is my first review!
"In Riddles of the Ancestors, the fourth installment of Ayn Cates Sullivan’s Legends of the Grail Series, ancient magic and modern life collide in the adventures of young Merlin and his twin sister Ganieda. The siblings discover a mystical Round Table inscribed with star codes, keys to activating a new Golden Age on Earth. This cosmic quest unfolds across multiple timelines, from the druids of Mona and the Olympians of Greece to King Arthur’s storied court and twenty-first-century London. To usher in the rebirth of Gaea (Mother Earth), magical riddles must be solved and ancient wounds healed. As demi-gods and awakened humans gather in modern England, resistance from the destructive old order, represented by the soulless Niente, threatens the hope of renewal. Follow a tale that melds soul retrievals, ancestral reckonings, and the restoration of lost wisdom as the guardians of the magical world unite to shift humanity into the New Epoch.
I found Riddles of the Ancestors to be a hugely imaginative read, and recommend it for fans of mythology, like myself. Ayn Cates Sullivan’s characters are exceptionally well-drawn, both legendary and original. Merlin and Ganieda’s sibling bond is central to the story, while figures like Nina/Nimue, the healer Abigail/Abae, Lady Gaea, and the mysterious dragon Delphyne are fully developed and resonant. The novel brims with mythological elements: the Arthurian Round Table is revealed as a celestial template, the Greek and Roman pantheon walk among mortals, and the faery realms pulse just beneath the surface of the everyday. Themes of healing, feminine wisdom, and the restoration of sacred earth are central to the story, with the setting shifting from enchanted meadows and mystical caves to the modern streets of London and the hallowed landscapes of Glastonbury and Wales. The writing cast a spell that had me turning the pages, characterized by its rich symbolism and lore."

I am so happy to see Heroines of Avalon & Other Tales as book of the Day! There are many gems in these tales, including the story of the Grail Champion Dindraine. It was a surprise to learn that the first person to achieve the Holy Grail was a woman. This book is part of the Legends of the Grail series, which focuses on not only the Holy Grail, but also the Faery Grail, and older Goddesses who represent the Grail. It is also on Audible. Enjoy!

Here is an excerpt: "The path of the Celtic mystic has unfolded naturally within me. I have found firm roots in the Celtic world and do experience Celtic Spirituality as an all-encompassing spiritual path. Writing fiction based on earlier myths has sent me on multiple wondrous quests for deeper spiritual meaning. I appreciate the way the older Druidic traditions interweave with Christianity. I now have the sense that the divine is with us as a living field of wisdom. We might have moments when we are more – or less – aware of this living divinity that is always around us and is part of us. Walking in the living landscape, we sense a direct connection with spirit. Celtic Spirituality also uses storytelling and art to explore the many threads of spirit and direct connection with the divine."
