But it never lasts. The snack runs out. The scroll gets boring. And there we are again.

You’ve probably done this.
You open the fridge, scan the shelves, find nothing you actually want, and close the door. Then a few minutes later you’re standing there again, looking at the exact same things.
Why do we do this?
When we’re uncomfortable, we assume the fix is out there. A new goal. Something we could buy.
The next thing always looks promising, mostly because it lets us put off whatever we’re feeling right now.
