It is now crystal clear that her governance in Bengal was a safe haven for #corruption and #crime. As the truth unravels, TMC leaders are deserting the party in droves and switching over to the BJP. Bengalis have made the right decision by unseating Mamata.
Within weeks of the #BJP coming to power in West Bengal, reports have emerged of a proposed merger between #TMC and the #Congress, which the latter promptly rejected. This episode starkly exposes Mamata Banerjee’s lust for power and naked opportunism.
After 2019, we are living in a completely different setting of the functioning of our political establishment. Unlike in the pre-2019 era, the governments have no compulsion of maintaining a continued liaison and relationship with the Press and the people who elected the legislators and the Ministers. In the changed settings, nobody in the system appears to be concerned about the public perception of the governance, delivery on the peoples' expectations, aspirations and the promises made to them in election manifestos. Because of this, neither the peoples' grievances nor the traditional urge of reaching out to them through legacy or social media is a concern or priority any longer. We all have noticed that only a few individuals have access to the top corridors of governance and nobody is concerned over the sensitive issues which cannot be put out or discussed publicly for a many reasons. Ministers, bureaucrats and officers have altogether abandoned the practice of responding to phone calls, text messages or grievances after the institutions have been conveniently euthanized or rendered discredited. Some of them just respond with the customised template: "May I call you latter". However, hardly anybody calls back. Three months back, I sent a text to a top government functionary who in the past regimes would swiftly respond. Nobody responded. The people responsible for maintaing his rapport with the Press and the public maintained that the "Sahab" would be "busy with touring and traveling this week" and they would call as soon as he would be available at his office. Thereafter, there has been no communication from their offices. Wrongly or rightly, it appears that certain individuals of no public mandate and constitutional authority have completely hijacked the system and created an iron wall between the government and the people. Surprisingly, even the elected legislators are now sulking that they have no say or relevance in the system. Such kind of an unprecedented gulf between the government and the people will definitely not augur well for any regime.

NEET paper leak?
Silence.
Rupee crashing? Silence.
Inflation looting the public? Silence.
But on the "Melody Toffee" @anjanaomkashyap's studio is screaming like that, as if it's the only national crisis.
This isn't journalism, it's outsourced brokering for the Modi government.
How many more years will India lose to communal politics while the world races ahead in AI, semiconductors, and clean energy?
The current politics of India has very little to offer GenZ beyond distractions, division, and empty promises.

I hear Cockroach Janata Party accounts are being blocked. Small warning: cockroaches have outlived empires, pandemics and probably a few IT cells too. Block one, ten more emerge from the dark corners. MIND IT! 😃

This is the best video on internet right now. Nobody knows who did it. Even @NetaFlixIndia doesn’t know. But this is absolutely brilliant work. Just the ending deserves an award on its own
