Cait Conley, the Democrat running to unseat Rep. Mike Lawler in New York’s 17th District, loves to brag about her “national security” credentials.
She served as Director for Counterterrorism on Biden’s National Security Council.

That’s the same NSC that played an outsized role in the disastrous 2021 Afghanistan withdrawal the one that left 13 U.S. service members dead at Abbey Gate, over 170 Afghan civilians slaughtered, hundreds of Americans stranded, and billions in military equipment handed to the Taliban.

She was there.
She has never fully owned it.
Instead she campaigns on her time in the Situation Room and her “experience protecting America” while voters are supposed to forget the actual results of that experience.

Thirteen American heroes came home in flag-draped coffins because of the chaotic, rushed exit her team helped oversee. Families still live with that loss. Gold Star parents still wait for real accountability.

Conley wants a seat in Congress so she can bring that same judgment to more decisions that affect our troops and our security.

Voters in NY-17 deserve better than another Biden official who helped engineer one of the worst national security failures in modern history and then asks for their trust.
Remember Abbey Gate. Remember the abandoned allies. Remember who was in the room.

Lawler has called it what it was. Conley has mostly stayed quiet. That silence should tell you everything.

And because the media has spent nearly a week whining about this issue rather than thinking about it rationally, I’m going to propose a solution.

I’ve flown on AF1 countless times, and the seats on that plane are precious and few. It’s not uncommon for members of Congress, senators, Cabinet officials, and high-level staff to ride on the support plane—or not at all.

DESPITE the need for other essential staff and personnel to be aboard, an entire section in the back of the plane is reserved for the press pool.

So, if the press has the sads because there’s an ever-present threat surrounding President Trump, here’s what they should do:

1.Designate one WH pool member and one camera to ride with POTUS. The rest can nurse their boo-boos on the support plane or the press plane. This would free up seats for people who actually matter.
2.Or they can ride on the plane, thank the American people for the courtesy, and stop whining like five-year-olds in grade-school detention.
