Everyone in the industry seems to dismiss the value of fan-driven streaming and the beautiful culture of a strong, global community that thrives without an industry push. The reason is more than clear: they want to turn everything into a paid game. Hey everyone,

Just a quick heads-up about what’s been going on with Last fm, in case you haven’t heard.

Over the past few hours, Last fm seems to have made some changes to its algorithm that resulted in BTS disappearing from several of its charts. Subsequently many of us have noticed that our plays aren’t being scrobbled properly. It’s becoming clear that the platform is flagging a significant portion of ARMY’s activity as spam or bot behaviour. Furthermore we have seen screenshots from their forums that dismiss BTS charting as inauthentic.

We don’t accept that.

We work hard to stream authentically, and having that dedication dismissed or written off is something we refuse to get behind. We will always stand by platforms that treat BTS and ARMY with respect, and right now, Last fm isn’t doing that. It’s not even doing its job of counting streams correctly. So for now, we’re asking you to unlink and delete your Last fm accounts.

Right now, you may want to switch to apps like Stats fm or Musicat, especially if you’re running missions on bcd app! Keep streaming. Keep playing. Every play still counts across all music platforms, our support for BTS will never be held hostage by small-minded people. 💜

after uninstalling Last FM and deleting your account Go to your search engine search remove Access on Spotify you'll see a page similar to the in the screenshot and click the remove access button so that last FM no longer has access to your data.

Double check that you removed both the Scrobbler and the Player.

every single artist operates exactly the way bts and army do, hell their OFFICIAL playlists are nightmares of repetition but only we ever get accused of being inorganic and thats bc the western market doesn't get to profit off of bts.

the BB charts being most heavily influenced by radio play, something you can only access if your label funnels massive funds into airplay, effectively ensuring that almost every placement on the chart is bought and labels can control who sits on top.

spotify introduces a deletion program but offers no transparency on how these deletions are decided or made while blatantly penalizing some artists while ignoring the same for the artists under the major western labels all ensures that you can pay your way into the top as well.

and despite all these barriers, every rule change, bts still push their way to the top and that makes the west furious. bc bts weren't part of their paid programming, they weren't chosen to sit at the top and they have never signed their rights over to a western label. all of that completely disrupts their perfectly curated industry these labels pay to uphold.
