@ChronoKatie Awakening just has no real stakes and started the whole skills bloating habit of the series. Story events hold no weight and permadeath starts being a thing of the past when min-maxxing all units is the norm. The series changed in a way that really divided the fanbase after it ⚔️

@DayDreamerRyuu @eStarland Also to acknowledge the story stakes. 3 houses and birthright were a step in the right direction but still held back at times. Watered down by the avatar hog riding in fates more so. But the last story that REALLY had stakes all the way through was echoes, a remake.

It's all shipping, permadeath no longer works, avatar hog riding, skill bloating, plot has no stakes, etc. The FE7 tactician was just a background nobody that they talked to sometimes. Hardly comparable to what it is now

@EditDotEXE @kibawoo I think coop can flip most bad experiences into good ones. But unfortunately DS2 was built to fail. 8directional movement instead of omnidirectional like all souls games. Dodging is linked to a stat instead of a static mechanic. List goes on
