Contracting STDs, especially if left untreated, can have negative effects on overall health. Recognizing that they are @ risk gives teens the opportunity to seek prevention methods & educate themselves &their partners on how to engage in healthy, safer sex habits. #ChapCareChat
Consideration should be given to all of the options that are out there to protect themselves & their partner from contracting any STDs, like using condoms, getting tested together prior to engaging in sexual activities & discussing previous sexual health history. #ChapCareChat
We should ASK teens what would make them more comfortable discussing STDs and who they feel most comfortable discussing this topic with. Also, providing confidential spaces and privacy may make teens feel more comfortable discussing STDs & other sensitive topics. #ChapCareChat
