For days and weeks on end. Biden and Dem members of Congress would be asked about nothing else by rightly outraged reporters.

So every American political reporter, editor, anchor, executive producer, reading this right now: ask yourself, why aren’t you as outraged when it’s Muslims not Jews, and Trump’s ally not Biden’s?

The accusation that I am antisemitic is appalling and fundamentally dishonest. Criticizing the actions of the Israeli prime minister, a military technology contract, or the executives who supply it is not the same as criticizing Jewish people. This critical and necessary dialogue is then dishonestly framed as being anti-Israel. To be clear, my views come from my own political convictions and should never be interpreted as hostility toward Jewish people, for whom I have deep love and respect.  Everything I know about acting, activism, and humanism has been profoundly shaped by the Jewish friends, colleagues, and loved ones who have been integral and family throughout every point of my life.

This merger has real consequences for real people, and for the entire country. Scrutinizing the Ellisons, including Oracle’s business built on data, surveillance technology and government contracts, and the serious threat to editorial freedom and the loss of a livelihood for thousands of families, is fair and necessary. The $111 billion deal would hand one family control over CNN, HBO and Warner Bros., backed in part by foreign money whose influence on editorial decisions has never been fully explained to the public. 

Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have called for serious national security review, and regulators still haven’t given the public a real answer. Until they do, the merger shouldn’t move forward. Now is the time to dive boldly into all these issues, not step back or concede.

🚨A Trump supporter stole the identity of a 13-year-old girl and made up a fake r*pe allegation against leftist political streamer Dean Withers in an attempt to get him deplatformed and canceled.

The 13-year-old Australian girl whose photos appeared on the “Emily” TikTok account says she was contacted about someone impersonating her. She compared her original Instagram photos with the photos used by the account and explicitly stated that she did not create the videos or make the allegations. The account allegedly blocked her after she confronted it.

Withers pointed out that one screenshot displays a date and time while another purportedly from the same conversation does not. He argued that this inconsistency proves the screenshots were fabricated. No independent evidence substantiating the r*pe allegations has emerged.

Even more disturbing is what happened afterward. MAGA accounts continued spreading the allegations, with some celebrating Withers’ distress and portraying the accusations as payback because he has repeatedly pointing out how Donald Trump has been found liable of rape in court and has been credibly accused in the Epstein files.

Withers says the campaign has put his safety at risk, including after police contacted him about a bomb threat. Meanwhile, an innocent 13-year-old is reportedly being harassed because her identity was allegedly stolen.

Now, many prominent MAGA voices are using the debunked accusation to push a narrative: that you can’t believe Trump’s accusers, including women connected to the Epstein files, because: “See? Accusers lie.”

An absurd conclusion.

A fabricated allegation does not prove every sexual-assault allegation is fabricated. The proper response to any accusation—including allegations against Trump—is to examine the evidence and investigate CREDIBLE claims.

Instead, some people are turning a fraudulent accusation into political ammunition—and an innocent child is paying the price.

There is no low for MAGA.
