The WADDLE•WADDLE•PENGU Plan.
As a project it's important that we establish our plan for growth, but also communicate the reason behind the decisions we're making.
It's also a step in accountability and showing that the project can and will deliver.
Core Mission
We want to establish ourselves as the cutest, most user friendly, organic and educational Runes community. We should be a first time Runes purchase for anyone entering the space and a core holding in any Runes portfolio.
Runes and SOL
While many projects look to bridge to SOL we have no plans to do so.
1. We simply do not have the presence.
2. We will get lost in the swamp of alts available on SOL and quickly drown.
3. We want to establish ourselves as a Runes project first and foremost and we still have significant work to do there.
While SOL hits some buzzwords and draws attention, for us it would be an immediate way to get lost in the crowd.
We have a core dynamic on Runes and we also have a unique selling point.
Content Production
As we have already started doing, our aim is to produce content that assists onboarding people to Runes.
The Runes launch was a mess. No one had a clue what was happening and to this day the information is not clear on how to participate or get involved.
The content we are producing is assisting in the onboarding of users and plays into our core mission of becoming the first Rune to buy and hold.
Presentation Style
We do not want to communicate in a manner that is obnoxious, shill heavy or packed with cheap engagement tactics.
Many projects simply turn into annoying spambots with no soul, life or resemblance of an authentic project.
While our growth may be slower as a result, it will be stronger, it will be entirely organic and it will be the best possible foundation to build on.
People will not be here because of giveaways, follows and RTs, they will be here because of the project and what we are achieving.
Dissociating from the Obvious
We are not looking for cheap wins, that much has been made clear in the presentation style.
We acknowledge that we are a penguin project, but have no intentions to ever tag on to the success of other projects.
We also acknowledge that the Rune was originally etched by someone involved with another large BRC20/Runes project, again we have moved past this point, are under new leadership and have no intentions of attempting to draw success from sources other than our own work.
Our success will be derived from our ability to create our own image, on our own chain, not because we attempt to secure that through others.
The Next Steps
I've coined this part of our development the "Community Establishment" - like I've discussed before we did not have any community, neither did we have any former pre-rune, or ordinals project in which we were able to have a starting base. We started from absolutely nothing.
Therefore our plan has to be to establish the strongest possible base to begin building from.
The good news is we're already well on that path.
From now until the end of June:
1. Continue to grow the community, holder numbers and establish a community Discord.
2. Continue discussion with several major sources for partnerships and [redacted].
3. Prepare for a snapshot event.
We are early, the Runes space is small, we have a tremendous opportunity to be a bluechip project, the path we are waddling will be the path to establish that.
We will continue to communicate each month on what the project has accomplished and the continuation of the next steps.
As it stands we need to be conscious that we are still just a $14m MCap project, while we're ambitious it would be unwise to start throwing around unrealistic plans at this stage of the project development.
We look forward to sharing more information on Discord, our sources of communication and our 📸.
@WaddlePenguRune Great post. Clear, detailed and transparent. I love that education is at the centre of the culture as well (I'm a teacher). Waddle waddle!
Going to start discussing some of the developments and plans for the project this week.
We want to let people know what to expect and by when, so we can be accountable and deliver.
Our mission remains to be the ultimate, organic, bait-free project on Runes, and we’re doing it.
