The calendar and the flowers say it’s fall but the weather and the produce @EvanstonMarkets say it’s still summer: Swiss Gourmet apples, tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, haricot vert, lima beans, corn and cantaloupe.
Summer @EvanstonMarkets in full swing: cherry tomatoes, baby artichokes, season’s first corn, green beans, last English peas, tomatoes, baby dill, English muffins, and cucumbers.
A hot week has changed what’s on offer @EvanstonMarkets. But the farmers managed to squeeze out one more week of strawberries and rhubarb. By the end of this week, we will have used 10 quarts of strawberries and 17 pounds of rhubarb!
BREAKING: President Biden boldly addresses the Donald Trump conviction with clarity, class, and purpose — and warns America that the felon Trump could still win if we don't show up to vote.
This is what leadership looks like....
"In New York today, we saw that no one is above the law. Donald Trump has always mistakenly believed he would never face consequences for breaking the law for his own personal gain," said Biden campaign communications director Michael Tyler.
"But today's verdict does not change the fact that the American people face a simple reality. There is still only one way to keep Donald Trump out of the Oval Office: at the ballot box. Convicted felon or not, Trump will be the Republican nominee for president," he went on.
"The threat Trump poses to our democracy has never been greater. He is running an increasingly unhinged campaign of revenge and retribution, pledging to be a dictator 'on day one' and calling for our Constitution to be 'terminated' so he can regain and keep power," he continued.
"A second Trump term means chaos, ripping away Americans' freedoms and fomenting political violence — and the American people will reject it this November," he added.
We could not agree more. This fight is far from over. Trump belongs in prison, yes, but more importantly we must ensure that he never steps foot in the White House again.
Please retweet and ❤️ if you can't wait to vote for Biden to defeat convicted felon Donald Trump — and consider joining the growing exodus to Tribel, a new pro-democracy social network that is exploding in popularity because Twitter and Facebook are trying to stop its growth — which is only making Tribel grow even faster. The haul from two weeks ago became more strawberry rhubarb vodka, more strawberry syrup, strawberry rhubarb pie, and a first time experiment in strawberry preserves that turned out pretty well.
Early summer is in season @EvanstonMarkets: a surfeit of strawberries, sweet cherry tomatoes, heirloom tomatoes, Swiss chard, baby squash, English pease, radishes, last of the season rhubarb and peonies. Lots of work to do!
