@TheSpyFamily @straczynski Because of the long form nature of #Babylon5 one episode would not do it justice. It is a show you must watch from the beginning.

There is a “recap movie” called In the Beginning” and it’s great but I would still recommend start from the start. #Baylon5Reboot

Not correct. C&C is set about a third of the way down from the central docking area, with the correct feet-outward orientation, which would give it about 30-40% gravity, so at (average) 40-70 pounds nobody's going to be bouncing around the deck.

I and the designers went off their culture and level of tech, so the Narns have a much clunkier look, reddish for their world...Centauri ships are a bit garish and overdone...Minbari are sleek and scary...Earth ships being the least advanced are more like clunky tractors.

Exactly. The crowd, going off its own prejudices and the narrow box of expectations they had for actors or what constituted TV, *hated* the idea...and they were wrong.

Thanks. One of the things that made B5 work was being able to look at what other shows did wrong and work to improve on that. Now I can still do that *and* look back at things we may not have done as well as hoped-for on B5 itself and work to improve on *that*.

No, because a) that info has been out a long time and would mean no surprises and b) it's also 27 years old and I look back at anything I wrote then with trepidation. Better to do something new that nobody will be expecting and reflects what I've learned as a writer since then.

To answer all the questions, yes, it’s true, Babylon 5 is in active development as a series for the CW. We have some serious fans over at the network, and they’re eager to see this show happen. I’m hip deep into writing the pilot now, and will be running the series upon pickup.
