You get into Data Analytics thinking you're going to build dashboards and find insights into data.

And then you get your first Data Analyst job and you start working with real data. You find out it's a lot more than dashboards. You're aggregating data from multiple data sources, you're Q/Aing pipelines and working through stored procedures/jobs to figure out why the data isn't coming in right, and cleaning all this messy data coming in from a clients automated csv exports because they can't change it on their end.

Data Analytics is a lot more than creating dashboards. I'd say it's been less than 10% of my job working as a Data Analyst.
