If you think about it, the so-called 'Supermarxists' are just Liberals in constume. They're almost identical.
1. They both share a complete detachment from material reality.
The Liberal believes that change will come from voting one more time, after the 50,001 times he already voted to zero result. The Supermarxist believes that change will come from reading one more book and posting one more verbose 'analysis' on his Substack. Either way, solid actions and material results are not their thing.
2. They're both profoundly dishonest people.
If you point out that a transvestite neurodivergent Ethiopian lesbian IDF pilot who flew a bombing mission into Gaza is just an imperial drone who doesn't deserve to live, the Liberal will call you a hateful, transphobic, homophobic, misogynistic, ableist, anti-Semitic so and so, while the Supermarxist wearing a Palestian keffiyeh with a watermelon logo on his Twitter bio will tell you that you are wrong to call for the IDF pilot's death because you and her are both workers being exploited by the global capitalist class.
3. They both love their heroes exclusively dead.
If a leader achieves material results for his people, they treat him with suspicion or hostility as long as he is alive and in power. Once he's dead or in jail after being taken out by the empire's military, then he ascends their mental Mount Rushmore. Thomas Sankara, Che Guevara, Patrice Lumumba etc are their faves, but only because they're dead. When Sankara was alive, they were both calling him a "dictator" or ignoring his existence altogether. Now that he's dead, he's safe to acknowledge.
When Che was alive and vigorously ending the lives of South African apartheid soldiers, they both called him a "renegade" or a "terrorist." Now that he's dead, they both wear t-shirts with his face printed on. They dislike Ibrahim Traore right now because he's alive. If he gets headshotted by a French sniper on live TV tomorrow, Liberals will start wearing red berets and gloves, and Supermarxists will find a way to repurpose "La patrie ou la mour" into one of their empty slogans.
Growing up is realising that these 2 types of idiot are literally the same person.
To the Atalanta family , after nearly four years, the time has come for me to say goodbye. From the moment I arrived in Bergamo, you welcomed me like one of your own and pushed me to be the best version of myself.
Together we made history. European champions, a night none of us will ever forget. Scoring a hat-trick in a European final and lifting a trophy with this club after a 61 year trophy drought will stay with me. Winning the Africa Player of the year award in 2024 as an Atalanta player will forever stay with me. Those moments, those emotions, those nights under the lights, theyโre engraved in my heart.
Thank you to my teammates, the staff, the club. To the fans, your passion, your belief, your energy meant everything. From day one, you stood by me and by this team through every moment. Your passion, your voices, your belief never faded and together we achieved.
Every cheer, every banner, every away trip meant something. Thank you for making Bergamo feel like home and for giving me memories Iโll carry forever.
Grazie di tutto, ciao ๐๐ค
๐ณ๐ฌ All the best of luck to the Super Eagles in today's match against Rwanda
