Africa does not lack health data. Too often, information remains fragmented, making it harder to see the full picture and act early.
Today, on the sidelines of #RC76AFRO, we launched the Regional Health Data Hub, a regional public good developed for and with Member States.
More than a new digital resource, the Hub will help countries anticipate challenges earlier, make informed decisions and turn data into action that saves lives.
🚀 Kicking off Afro Geo Database Training for the Data & Info Management team!
This week at @WHOAFRO, DIM & Novel-T are diving into how this powerful mapping platform helps countries share accurate local area maps, making it easier to plan, track & analyze polio campaigns across Africa. 🌍📍📊 #EndPolio

This #GISDay, I reflect on launching the @WHOAFRO Geographic Information Systems Centre in 2017.
Today, its tools support over 90% of polio campaigns across the African Region, helping protect children and transform health systems across Africa.
Data-driven action saves lives.
Happy #GISDay and #ChildrensDay! 🎉
From analyzing outbreak zones to ensuring vaccines reach every child, #GIS innovations are not only transforming #polio eradication efforts in the African region and beyond but also contributing to a healthier future for our children.

This #RC74AFRO, @MoetiTshidi & @DocFaustine had incredible experiences watching polio vaccinations in Zambia through a VR headset!
The 3D immersion really brings the tireless efforts of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative closer to home. #EndPolio
Thanks @FCDOGovUK for visiting @WHOAFRO's Geographic Information System Center!. W/ strengthened partnership, we can enhance the impact of #GIS innovations on the ground to #EndPolio & ensure its use for other health interventions. Together, we´ll ensure no child is left behind.
Today was the closing day of a two weeks training to the EDCL engineers on the Introduction to #ArcGISPro and Collector for ArcGIS #ArcGISApps for Electricity Network Mapping, in collaboration with NPD Ltd @reg_rwanda#GIS#esritraining#GIStraining
Welcome to all partners taking part in the #GISSummit at @WHOAFRO this week. GIS technology has been essential in the fight against #polio in #Africa & even the latest #Ebola outbreak. We must continue to expand the scope of such health innovations to improve people's health.
