On behalf of #BACA, we extend our sincere condolences to Professor Ellis’s family, friends, colleagues, and former students. His legacy will continue through the many teachers, clinicians, and anatomists inspired by his work. (5/5)
He qualified in medicine at Oxford in 1948, later became Professor of Surgery at Westminster Medical School, and continued teaching clinical anatomy after retirement, including at Guy’s campus, King’s College London. (4/5)
His contribution to anatomy teaching was profound, and his textbook Clinical Anatomy became a classic for students and junior doctors, remaining a trusted resource across generations of learners. (3/5)
Professor Ellis will be remembered as an exceptional surgeon, anatomist, teacher, and author whose influence shaped generations of medical students, trainees, and colleagues. (2/5)
