@MaryAnnreports All bladed instruments are banned by every Texas ISD including Frisco! Defense calling the knife a "tool" does not discount no knives rule. ISD also relied on FERPA not to disclose Anthony's 2/4/25 assault incident. Ref 4/14/25 bond reduction hearing.
@tnnealy02 Decision to testify or remain silent is entirely on the defendant. Judge Roach also questioned him directly, on the record, to ensure he understood his Constitutional rights. But relying on "self-defense" is Attorneys big exception to remaining silent! 🤔
@breakfastclubam@mimibrowntv Open your mind! If jump video existed, it would have been in evidence. Frisco ISD's surveillance was the only video in evidence. Eye witness testimonies were very consistent. Even the defense witnesses conceded they did not see what they first told police.
@mktruecrime@aronberg@AshleighMerchan Stop! How do you not know the details on the Batson challenge that triggered the 3 step hearing by Judge Roach? The 3 black jurors were teachers in Frisco ISD. This case was about Frisco student murdered on ISD property! No teachers, not racial.
@JinxedRealityX Is it possible to upload the J. Metcalf interview on Ytube. Trying to listen on this link is horrible, getting bumped off every 15 mins. Thanks for your courtesy.
@MaryAnnreports Coward. We've never heard his voice, ever. Post conviction, not like he could incriminate himself, his momma had to say she thinks he's sorry. KA couldn't man-up, tell the Court/Victims, himself. Entitled attitude led him to stab his peer, void of remorse.
@ekkhouser614@jdmiles11 Anthony's folding knife: the blade was 3.5 inches. However, the blade+handle totaled 5 inches. Knives with blade length 5.5" or shorter are not subject to Tx "Prohibited Location" statute per HB1935 (2017).
@Bederowlaw Good call, Mark. Defense in Karmelo Anthony trial objecting to jury charge before closing arguments began. They are citing "provoking the difficulty" instruction under the penal code. This is related to the self defense argument and provocation.
@Ladylaw31256058@MaryAnnreports 2017 HB 1935 removed the category of "illegal knives" altogether, but introduced "location restricted knives" with a location list. State law gives school districts authority to regulate conduct, every Tx ISD explicitly bans ANY bladed instrument.
@jdmiles11 Thanks for your brilliant coverage JD. Seeing all these young witnesses lose their innocence at a district track meet is so shattering to read. Be safe.
@AlabasterApu@MaryAnnreports Seriously? Karmelo was Capt of his FB Team! This happened in the bleachers, not the field! He took a knife to a District Track Meet. Why? Badass thug's prior acts being protected by FERPA. A pitfall following Fed funded SRO's in public schools.
