@BachmannEllison I agree! I think societal views of disabilities in general tend to be very discriminating. In fact, I think the work “disability” itself is stigmatizing #SWK3100#MacroSW
A1: the social work area that I think needs to get more attention in the media would be advocating for individuals with disabilities and mental health diagnoses to decrease the stigma in each area #MacroSW

A4: If I were to write an opinion piece it would focus mainly on services for children/adults on the Autism Spectrum. I have always had a huge passion for this population. #MacroSW
A1: Taking the responsibility to see the change needed. I advocate for the needs of myself/others. I have written emails to professors advocating for different teaching styles. The result was the professor understanding the perspective and making the change in teaching. #MacroSW
