Bach Bach Bach ❤️
I still struggle to put into words the experience of playing the whole of the Well-Tempered Clavier (‘the 48’), even after doing it twenty something times! It is truly the most astonishing music…

What an atmospheric and special way to end Day Four of the festival! @Libby_Burgess plays the final 8 preludes & fugues in her City of London leg of @BachProject48. Unforgettable!
I love playing around with the sequence I play the preludes and fugues in for this project. But on a sunny morning with light streaming through the windows it just has to be this one first 🥰
This week! ⬇️⬇️⬇️
Really looking forward to Brahms & Beethoven today with @AshleyRiches #TimLowe, Mozart and Poulenc tomorrow with @JulianBliss@OlivStankiewicz@bengoldscheider @AmyHarmanBsn, plus the whole of Bach’s 48 across the week for my crazy @BachProject48. 💪 ☕️ 🍫
My monster project to play all 48 preludes and fugues in all 48 counties of England @BachProject48 is ongoing and has so far raised over £30,000 for these brilliant organisations. It has been one of the most challenging and rewarding musical projects of my career to date!
Correction: Weds performance is 7.15pm not am! No chance of me playing a concert at 7.15am 🤣
Correct times for next week are:
Tues 9am | Weds 11am | Weds 7.15pm | Thurs 10am | Thurs 3pm | Thurs 9pm
‼️Project 48 is back!‼️

2 years ago today: the first performance of Project 48. Since then, over 40 venues - gardens/cathedrals/theatres/foyers - across over 20 counties. That’s about 10,000 preludes & fugues. And this week crossed the £30,000 mark raised for 4 amazing charities! 🎉 Lots more to come.
Thank you SO much my brilliant friend of 25 yrs @cathylamb_org for making this happen. Such attentive kind audiences. Loved the guy who sighed appreciatively after each fugue, & the one telling me his story of help from @HelpMusicians, reminding me why I’m doing @BachProject48 🥰
Pretty much the perfect sky to walk offstage to after finishing a complete Bach 48. 💜 Still haven’t really worked out how to put my thoughts about this music into words but it’s basically the universe really. Thank you so much @LichfieldCSchl @cathylamb_org. Staffordshire ✅
