HARA: Exactly. Back in 2018, when I first got into crypto assets, I didn't fully understand the structure of the blockchain, nor did I know the difference between Bitcoin and Ethereum. I started my career as a specialist in ICOs for crypto-based fundraising. At that time, the very first thing I studied was how fiat money was created, tracing it all the way back to the gold standard, to understand why and how things generate value.
For a new currency to generate value, it naturally requires people to trust it, recognize its necessity, and use it. Furthermore, it requires sufficient information disclosure so that exchanges (which connect people with capital) and institutional investors can trust it enough to invest. We arrived at this conclusion. Since then, I have been continuously thinking about how companies can use these mechanisms to create new economic zones, build a fan base, and project value globally across international borders. I want to leverage that expertise and experience to its fullest extent.
In doing so, what I value most right now is enhancing corporate value. For Remixpoint, which has been at the forefront of expertise regarding digital assets as a whole, this isn't just about purchasing and holding Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies. While we will certainly utilize them as part of our financial and treasury strategy, it also gives us an incredible opportunity to connect with a brand-new class of investors, namely new shareholders and creditors, whom we could never encounter before.
In Japan, the equity market has traditionally been closed off domestically, but we can now expand that globally. The community surrounding digital assets and Bitcoin is not limited to Japan; it is a massive global community, and we are successfully establishing touchpoints with it.
Additionally, this new Web3 space leverages decentralization, encrypted communications, and secure data storage. Because this technology is open source, it is evolving at a breakneck pace day by day. We want to actively adopt these new technologies to launch new business ventures. There are several excellent use cases we can execute; some are a bit difficult under current regulations, while others are highly feasible. Our challenge will be to properly catch up with the trends generating market excitement and deploy them as new businesses for our company.
Takahashi: Thank you. Speaking of future schedules, you have an upcoming trip to Taiwan, correct?
HARA : Yes. Although it is ahead of the general shareholders' meeting, my schedule takes me to an event called the AI Taiwan Expo from May 22nd to the 25th. As you know, Taiwan is home to the strongest companies in semiconductors, NVIDIA grade GPUs, and deep learning. In my personal opinion, Taiwan is actually the closest and most densely packed hub for these technologies near Japan.
Recently, I attended a global event called SuTech held in Tokyo, where I had the opportunity to speak with some incredible Taiwanese startup entrepreneurs. They operate in highly specialized, niche global domains, yet they maintain strong collaborative networks with Japan. This trip to Taiwan will allow us to spread our wings a bit further, tap into the region directly, showcase what Remixpoint has been doing, and explore how we can collaborate with companies there.
Takahashi: And in July, there is WebX, organized by CoinPost.
HARA: Yes, that's right. Last year, our company had an exhibition booth there, and if I recall correctly, our presence was heavily focused on the context of a Digital Asset Ledger. We plan to exhibit again this year. WebX is a fantastic opportunity to interact with investors, businesses, cutting-edge technologies, and new projects from all over the world. We are currently preparing to announce our new business initiatives on that stage, allowing us to showcase a fresh side of Remixpoint to everyone.
Takahashi: For those who know about it, WebX Tokyo is an incredibly passionate event.

Honored to have worked with @SenatorTimScott and @CoryBooker on the Investing in Opportunity Act, a rare bipartisan idea that succeeded in spite of our divisive political climate because it addressed a fundamental problem that everyone agreed on:
... the need to revitalize some of America’s most economically distressed communities by giving them access to much needed investment capital and resources. @Forbes https://t.co/N8RRgRfR5z
