I don't ignore other people's opinions until they provide me a reason. Trouble is, their full message is likely to make me think some strong things such as, people should pass the citizenship test before their vote works in the majority of votes. A test administered by people that can pass a test that is the culmination of the early additions (1900-1920) to citizenship merit badges in Boy Scouts. This test could be a little bit simplified for a partial vote. The voting is connected to a blockchain and the direct vote that was not possible in 1776 would allow for a true "Constitutional Republic" as was intended. These tests would require proof of citizenship and yet that citizenship would over some time assure the knowledge of a citizen was self evident.
