It is funny, but this just reinforces something I have been pushing with my teams for years: make local-first development the standard. Everything that the CICD pipeline is doing should be something I can also do locally - including, if needed, running full end-to-end tests after a helm deployment to a local k8s cluster (minikube, or otherwise) has happened. There should be automated scripts for all of it.
CICD isn't a tool to test your code works, it is a verification step on your code going out the door.
@googlecalendar Please revert the change that is currently rolling out to update the size of calendar hours. I used to be able to view my entire day at a glance, now I have to scroll (see screen caps). I shouldn't need to scroll!
Companies (such as news organizations) which rely on ads for revenue are going to need to fundamentally change their business model in an AI world. Users are no longer falling for clickbait articles, they just get a synopsis from an AI and never see any ads.
@jetbrains@getsome_air I look forward to being able to play with it. 2 questions though:
1. Is there an ETA for Linux?
2. Can I point it at a local LLM running in, say, a llama.cpp server?
@XFreeze The problem is, most people/ companies don't have the discipline to polish their products. They start chasing after the next shiny thing, sometimes before the last shiny thing is done. Someone has to say "no" to chasing shiny things.
@farzyness What is defined as "social media" though? Do question forums count? What about IRC chats? Discord? Team Speak? Seems like a very slippery slope towards infringing on the 1st Amendment.
Corporate harassment trainings are getting wild. Apparently we are all now responsible for whatever an AI note taker claims we have said. Sure hope they never hallucinate...
@Tesla please look into your Android app. With the current version (4.54.5-4133) I just get the Tesla logo and it never loads. Doesn't matter if I am on wifi, cellular, or both. I have tried restarting my phone, checking for updates, etc.
@GOGcom Metroid Prime 1 on the Gamecube was the first time I stopped and had to enjoy the beauty of the environments. As far as story goes, LoZ: A Link to the Past on the SNES, and the all-in-one experience was Ori and the Blind Forest.
@mjboswell I'd prefer long, horizontal. However, the most important thing if X is going to go hard on video is discovery. It would be great if we could filter the timelines to just video content (and even have further filters on types, format, length, etc.).
The more I consider it, the more I think AI will be a race to the average. All these bots are being trained on everything that companies can get their hands on (or steal). Instead, they should train on the top 5-10% and raise the bar.
