We need to stop trained and educated staff leaving because they are not cherished&developed. Cancelling educational sessions for ward work is so much more dangerous long term. Losing a band 6 is not = to a student nurse, losing a registrar is not equivalent to a brand new f1

@TobiasOGForrest Oh my gosh, Tobs, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. We haven't spoken in bloody ages, but my DMs are always open if you wanna chat! Sending you all love
Crunched a few more specialties including Anaesthetics (for which the demand is enormous) all showing the same pattern of stagnation. (again as per prev tweet, does not control for MSRA/multiple applications per cycle)
@caffeinemedic 100% feel you on this one! You’re waiting around all evening (it feels) for 9pm, and then in the morning you’re waiting around again for 09:30am! HATE IT
It can't be called a foundation programme and yet expect brand new FY1 to be conducting their own ward round.
That is not a training programme.
It's throwing people in the deep end with a weight on their back with no life jacket
Here is my number 1 piece of advice for the upcoming F1s
*Exception report*
In F1 & F2 I religiously exception reported if I worked 1hr or more in overtime, and as a result, got paid for it
It's not cheating the system. You are contractually entitled to this

I remember it decided to do an update once before an exam in COVID. Thankfully, I turned my laptop on super early in the day so it didn't impact my start time!
Why does my laptop always decide to do updates at the most inappropriate times? I had my final sign-off meeting with my ES this morning and I had to do it through my phone in the end, because my laptop is STILL updating
