After 150+ videos, we can finally introduce ourselves to you! We're Ria and Nas, your humble BackSeethers, and we try our best to show you that you don't need to be a master at videogames to have fun.
A bit of a longer one, today's episode. Unfortunately, we don't complete the High Republic Chamber in it, but we managed offscreen. We promise to do better going forward. https://t.co/N1hBXaxz3r
#DidYouKnow: You can instantly mark any collectable, upgrade, and cosmetic in #StarWars#JediSurvivor if you purchase a few map updates from an NPC near the Pyloon Saloon. His name is Shlup Gitto. #FakeGameTrivia
#StarWars#JediSurvivor gives us a new type of extra content with the Fractured Resolves: replayable challenges that seemingly offer a bonus prize for completing them. Can't be that hard to do one, right? https://t.co/mB5rr9Mhaz
You must pick your battles in every relationship; that's just how it is. Pretend a joke is funnier than it is. Restrain yourself from offering advice when venting is all that's needed. Skip doing optional game content onscreen if it's too annoying. Accept help with housework.
A somewhat overlooked problem that #StarWars (like a ton of sci-fi) has is how most planets are represented by a single biome. #JediSurvivor follows the trend for obvious reasons: as big as Koboh's explorable area is, it has to remain visually distinct from other planets.
You, however, will get your fill of cheese in this episode, even if we discovered it by accident. Hey, whatever gets us through the Spawn of Oggdo fight. https://t.co/C8prhTTqsE
#DidYouKnow: Cheese canonically exists in #StarWars, but all references to it in #JediSurvivor had to be removed after it was decided that Cal Kestis would be lactose intolerant. #FakeGameTrivia
And so we meet a new #StarWars#JediSuvivor character: Skoova Stev, the inexplicably Scottish slug creature in a silly little diver suit, looking like he would fight Grogu over eating his day's catch. https://t.co/WDlVvV2OpM
The strength of a relationship lies not in the good times, nor in the moments of crisis, but in the day-to-day, frankly boring parts of life: having nothing to play with a sibling or friend, going shopping with your mom, fishing with your dad. Now, if the fish were alien...
With the introduction of Zee, a very old droid model that has seemingly witnessed what happened to the Outer Rim in the past, it looks like the plot of the game is kicking into next gear. https://t.co/197bWPh5iX
#StarWars is, arguably, more interesting whenever exploring past events and characters; past, as in, before the Skywalkers. #JediSurvivor, from what we understand, shows us parts of the High Republic era, supposedly the apogee of the Jedi Order.
Speaking of putting things off, we finally come to the Pyloon Saloon in #StarWars#JediSurvivor. Looks like someone beat us to it, though. Maybe they're friendly enough? https://t.co/0ddCsUyJL1
With a brief mid-July holiday looming ahead, we humble BackSeethers are going to have to step up our recording schedule. How would you folks use your free time after putting it off for other things?
That fight sounds easy enough; unfortunately for Ria, though, she's about to face a member of another of Jabba's pets' species. And this one looks hungry. https://t.co/dNsdDsBV5t
The #StarWars#JediSurvivor Koboh exploration continues, and Ria has some strong opinions about her old nemesis: the platforming. https://t.co/5jpU8Dfrq2
Making friends as an adult may seem hard, but there's just one trick to it: don't be afraid to talk to a person once in a while, especially if you're new to a place. Who knows, they may turn out to own a stable and take care of bipedal chicken aliens. Very specific, we know.
Once again, Ria is fighting for her life in this episode. Not because of the tough enemies or whatever; if she doesn't overturn every rock for some priorite, which WE STILL DON'T KNOW WHAT TO USE FOR, the ~thoughts~ will start attacking her. https://t.co/R7xJpUkwRy
As we explore Koboh further in #StarWars#JediSurvivor, the game introduces a few more mechanics, such as using a specific enemy type to affect destructible environment, opening up new paths. When all you have is a bomb, though, everything begins looking explosive.
