Introducing Backspin.

A self custodial wallet built on Robinhood Chain where eligible Stock Token purchases earn cashback while you hold.

Claim vested value as $USDG, put it back into a Stock Token, or use a virtual card.

Investing earns the card. @robinhoodapp

Tokenized stock products do not give the same rights as owning company shares.

BackSpin’s docs describe debt instruments with no shareholder rights. Product terms and eligibility need checking.

A high water mark is meant to distinguish new holdings from cycling the same balance.

It makes the reward rule more specific, and the rule deserves a clear explanation.

An up to rate is not a fixed outcome.

BackSpin’s specification includes monthly caps and an epoch budget that can scale the effective rate down.

[BackSpin @BackSpinNeobank]

Vesting changes what a headline cashback number means.

The proposed reward vests over 90 days while the position is held. Selling or transferring early can forfeit the unvested portion.

BackSpin’s materials are a specification, not proof of live rewards or card access. Read the mechanics and limitations before judging the headline.

Tokenized stock products in the docs are debt instruments and do not provide shareholder rights. Liquidity and issuer terms matter.

The proposed claim routes include USDG, buying more of a tokenized stock, or a third party virtual card program.

[BackSpin @BackSpinNeobank]

If demand exceeds that budget, the effective rate can scale down. Up to does not mean fixed.

[BackSpin @BackSpinNeobank]

Tier rates are subject to monthly caps and a fixed epoch budget.

[BackSpin @BackSpinNeobank]

Selling or transferring out early can forfeit unvested cashback. The sale itself is not described as blocked.

[BackSpin @BackSpinNeobank]

The proposed reward vests over 90 days while the position remains held.

[BackSpin @BackSpinNeobank]

The intent is to reward new holdings rather than cycling the same balance through repeated buys.

[BackSpin @BackSpinNeobank]

A high water mark compares current eligible holdings with the wallet’s previous level.

[BackSpin @BackSpinNeobank]

Cashback on a purchase is easy to summarize and easy to misunderstand.

BackSpin’s proposal uses a specific rule: eligible net new holdings above a prior high water mark.

If a reward depends on holding through time, show the clock and the consequence together.

That makes it easier to compare the reward with the flexibility a user gives up.

[BackSpin @BackSpinNeobank]

These are proposed mechanics in BackSpin’s materials, not confirmation of a live reward program.

A reward needs a baseline before anyone can calculate what counts as new. 🧵👇

Users should be able to trace an eligible holding through vesting to a claim.
