When Joseph went down to Egypt, he became Egyptian in appearance, yet he remained Hebrew at heart. He looked so much like an Egyptian that when his brothers stood face to face with him, they didn’t recognize him.
To the Egyptians, his appearance was familiar. To his own brothers, he was foreign.
But that wasn’t the end of Joseph’s story. He was never destined to remain hidden behind an Egyptian identity forever.
At the appointed time, he removed what had made him unrecognizable and revealed himself to his Hebrew brothers, saying, “I am Joseph.”
It’s a beautiful foreshadowing of Yeshua. He came to His own, yet over time He became so cloaked in Gentile culture and identity that His Jewish brethren no longer recognize Him.
But the day is coming when He will reveal Himself to Israel, and the world will know Him for who He truly is.
The Jewish Messiah.
The return to Israel didn’t begin in 1948.
Long before modern flights and passports, Ezra the Scribe led one of the earliest mass returns of the Jewish people back to the Land of Israel after exile in Babylon. Thousands of years later, the story continues, not only through arrival, but through helping people rebuild their lives in the land of their ancestors.
Different generations.
Same return.
In Matthew 24, as Jesus teaches on the coming destruction of Jerusalem and the end-time events leading up to his Second Coming (Matt 24:3), he instructs his followers—who might find themselves caught amid the turmoil of that time—to pray that their flight would not occur “on a Sabbath” (Matt 24:20). While Jesus acknowledges that fleeing on the Sabbath during times of crisis is permissible to preserve life, he makes it clear that this is not an ideal situation. He would rather his followers rest and experience the peace that the Sabbath day is meant to provide. If Jesus intended to nullify the Sabbath, it seems strange that he would express concern about his followers’ ability to observe it in the future. Had he not expected them to continue keeping the Sabbath, there would be no reason for him to mention it in this context.
Mark 9 and Isaiah 66 (Salt and Fire)
I wonder how much we all understand the context of Mark 9:48 when Yeshua quotes Isaiah 66:24.
“For their worm shall not die, their fire shall not be quenched.”
The first thing that usually comes to mind when I hear that phrase is imagery like Dante’s Inferno, with people burning for all eternity. This makes sense when reading the previous verses, “And if your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off! It is better for you to enter into life crippled than, having two hands, to go to Gehenna, into the unquenchable fire. And if your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off! It’s better for you to enter life lame than, having your two feet, to be thrown into Gehenna. If your eye causes you to stumble, tear it out! It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than, having two eyes, to be thrown into Gehenna...”
However, Yeshua has more to say. Have we really thought about the next statement in Mark 9?
“For EVERYONE will be salted with fire.”
Wait! What? Everyone? Me?
Then Yeshua continues….
“Salt is good”.
This goes back to Leviticus 2:13 and other passages:
“Also you are to season with salt every sacrifice of your grain offering. You are never to allow the salt of the covenant of your God to be lacking from your grain offering. With all your sacrifices you must offer salt.”
Salt is linked to covenantal faithfulness. Whatever we give to God must have salt offered with it. How do we do that without a Temple? We offer whatever we can (with the right motive of course). We give God ourselves. We give Him our obedience. Paul puts it this way, “I urge you therefore, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice—holy, acceptable to God—which is your spiritual service.”
Many people I have conversations with often assume that anything Torah observant people do is “to earn their salvation.” It isn’t. I really don’t know anyone who does that. We are, however, salting it.
Paul also wrote, “Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each one’s work will become clear. For the Day will show it, because it is to be revealed by fire; and the fire itself will test each one’s work—what sort it is. If anyone’s work built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. If anyone’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss—he himself will be saved, but as through fire.”
So, eternal hellfire isn’t necessarily what Yeshua is getting at in Mark 9. Fire also appears on the altar where sacrifices are made and salted. EVERYONE’s works will be tested on that fire.
Yet, many people try to discourage others from keeping Torah. Even though Yeshua said, “Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever keeps and teaches them, this one shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” This is because if we do this…. if we teach men to break the Torah…. we are offering wood, hay, and stubble.
This is what I think Yeshua meant in Mark 9 when He said, “But if the salt becomes unsalty, with what will you flavor it? Have salt in yourselves, and keep shalom with one another.”
The root word for Zion means a boundary or marker or monument.
Replacement theology is defined by vein attempts to erase Zionism or to at least move the boundary that God set by redefining it. However....
We know that God is immutable. He does not change. He does not lie. He doesn't break His own principles.
Heed the Torah: "You must not move your neighbor’s boundary marker that the first generations marked out, in the inheritance you will receive in the land Adonai your God is giving you to possess." - Deuteronomy 19:14
Is Our Heavenly Father Cruel As Mainstream Christianity Teaches?
Short answer: NO.
Long answer:
This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (1 Timothy 2:3–4, ESV)
ALL PEOPLE means ALL PEOPLE!
Our Heavenly Father is not the cruel and unfair deity that mainstream Christianity preaches, one who condemns billions to eternal agony simply because they were born at the wrong place and wrong time.
What mainstream Christians misunderstand is that today is NOT the only day for salvation.
PHASE I
The Present Age – The Calling of the Firstfruits
In this present age, the worldly authorities are under satan and deception is overwhelmingly strong. Satan, being “the god of this age” (2 Corinthians 4:4) and “the ruler of this world” (John 14:30) had deceived the whole world (Revelation 12:9).
In this world full of deception only few are able to learn the truth, And No one can come to Yeshua unless the Father draws them (John 6:44, 65). Many are called, but few are chosen (Matthew 22:14).
This isn’t some Calvinism nonsense.
Those who are chosen were the ones who persevered till the end and these are the firstfruits (James 1:18; Revelation 14:4), destined to become kings, judges and priests who will reign with Yeshua (Revelation 1:6; 5:10; 20:6),
while the ones who didn’t persevere were rejected, some because they had no root and fell away in times of testing (Matthew 13:20–21; Luke 8:13), and others through willful apostasy after tasting the goodness of YAHWEH Elohim (Hebrews 6:4–6; 2 Peter 2:20–22).
Yes, Once Saved, Always Saved is also a lie
PHASE II
The Millennial Reign of Yeshua
The next phase of Elohim’s salvation plan is the thousand-year reign of Yeshua, where Yeshua and His resurrected saints will rule the earth. Satan will be bound and thrown into the abyss so that he can no longer deceive the nations.
Revelation 20:1–6 describes this: an angel binds satan for a thousand years, casting him into the abyss “so that he might not deceive the nations any longer.” During this time, the resurrected saints “came to life and reigned with Messiah for a thousand years” (Revelation 20:4). The prophets foretold this age: “the earth shall be full of the knowledge of YAHWEH as the waters cover the sea” (Isaiah 11:9; Habakkuk 2:14).
During this time, every mortal citizen will hear the Good News of the Kingdom of Elohim and be given a fair opportunity to repent. The nations will come up to Jerusalem year by year to worship the King and keep the Feast of Tabernacles. (Zechariah 14:16–17)
After 1,000 years, satan will be released and he will gather the nations for a final rebellion, but he will be quickly defeated and thrown into the lake of fire. (Revelation 20:7–10).
PHASE III
The White Throne Judgment - The Final Opportunity
The final phase of the salvation plan is the White Throne Judgment, where everyone who ever lived will be resurrected (John 5:28–29; Acts 24:15). The Books ie. the Torah (and the whole of Scripture) along with the Book of Life will be opened(Revelation 20:12).
Everyone who has never heard the Good News will be given their first real opportunity to learn the truth, respond to it, and be judged according to how they lived in light of that knowledge (Revelation 20:12–13).
This includes:
- People from Alexander the Great to present-day Andaman tribesmen
- Late-term aborted babies, infants, and the mentally disabled
- From Hindus to Atheists,
- Even genuinely deceived Christians who never heard the true Gospel, those deceived to worship Trinity or Mary, practice lawlessness, other false doctrines but never had access to biblical truth
However, those who fail to repent and commit to Yeshua, along with those who fell away in Phase 1, will be thrown into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:15), which is the second death, the permanent annihilation, not eternal torment (Revelation 20:14; 21:8).
At the end of Genesis, why didn't the Jewish people recognize Joseph their redeemer?
Because he was cloaked in the garments of Egypt.
Why don't the Jewish people recognize Jesus their redeemer?
Because he is cloaked in the garments of Rome.
When did the Jewish people recognize Joseph their redeemer?
When he removed the garments of Egypt and revealed himself as their Jewish brother.
When will the Jewish people recognize Jesus their redeemer?
When he removes the garments of Rome and reveals himself as their Jewish brother.
Hebrews 8:13:
When He said, “A new covenant,” He has made the first obsolete. But whatever is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to disappear.
This begs a few questions and answers:
1. Why is it "becoming" obsolete, "growing old", and "ready to disappear"? Hebrews was written decades after the cross.
2. Why does it seem that its disappearance is a decades-long progression, rather than immediate?
3. What is actually old and disappearing?
The answer is simple. If you read Hebrews 8 and the adjacent chapters, the writer is exclusively speaking of the Temple service, sacrificial system, and the Priesthood.
This is what was going away. Not the whole of Torah.
This came to fruition in 70AD, when the Romans destroyed the Temple. This shows that Hebrews was written prior to 70 and in preparation for it.
What an amazing piece of Jewish historical literature! Preparing Jews for the pending destruction of the Temple.
The intent of the letter is to show Jewish Christians that, hey, I know that the Temple and its service is glorious. But don't worry! We have something better and eternal! A better Priest, a better sacrifice, better promises!
HaShem, our God, King of the universe, and guardian of Israel who neither slumbers nor sleeps.
You are our Redeemer who has no equal. There is no savior besides You.
In Your great mercy, protect all of Israel the Land and her people, those within her borders and all of us scattered among the nations.
Guard our soldiers, our civilians, our children, and all who dwell in Zion, from every enemy and every harm.
Frustrate the plans of those who rise against us, and let Your justice prevail.
Unify us, HaShem in love.
Heal the divisions in our hearts and in our nation.
Turn our hearts toward You and toward each other, so that we may love and revere Your holy Name.
Open our hearts to true teshuvah, and accept our prayers with favor.
Hear the cries of Your children who call upon You in sincerity and those who know Your Name and place their trust in You alone.
Strengthen our faith, increase our hope, and let us not be put to shame, for we wait for You HaShem.
You are our King, reign over us in compassion. Gather us, rebuild Your holy city, and speedily bring the time when all will know that the Lord, HaShem God of Israel, is One, and His dominion is eternal.
I've heard theories that the two witnesses of Revelation 11 are biblical characters such as Elijah, Enoch, even the disciple John. I do not believe that.
I believe the two witnesses are Jewish and Gentile believers in the Messiah.
Why?
They are called "olive trees" and "lampstands".
Revelation 11:4: These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of the earth.
This verbiage is taken directly from Zechariah 4.
Zechariah 4:11: Then I said to him, “What are these two olive trees on the right of the lampstand and on its left?”
The angel answers Zechariah with the exact wording that is in Revelation.
Zechariah 4:14: Then he said, “These are the two anointed ones who are standing by the Lord of the whole earth.”
But in Zechariah, they are not only called "olive trees". They are called "olive branches."
Zechariah 4:12: What are the two olive branches which are beside the two golden pipes...
Olive branches should sound very familiar. In Romans 11, Paul calls Jews "natural olive branches", and Gentiles "wild olive branches".
The two witnesses are olive branches! This is why I believe they are Jew and Gentile.
If you stepped into a first century church of the Apostolic age, you would see Orthodox Jews worshiping alongside newly converted Gentiles. The Jews remained faithful to Torah, but did not pressure Gentiles to keep up. The Gentiles were learning to live righteously, and did not chastise Jews for keeping Old Testament laws.
And if disrespect occurred from either side, leaders like Paul stepped in and corrected it.
P.S. The ONLY place you find this today is in a healthy Messianic Synagogue.
The dumbest argument Christians use is “Satan used scripture too!”. It’s dumb because if you read Matthew 4, Satan DID NOT start with scripture. He started by questioning Christ then YESHUA RESPONDED with scripture. After that, Satan attempted to combat scripture with scripture, but he took Psalms out of context, then Jesus responded AGAIN with scripture. Then, Satan fleed because Christ ONLY USED SCRIPTURE.
Satan only used one verse and when he couldn’t go script for script with Christ, he left. Jesus ONLY used scripture in that convo and it made Satan flee.
STOP BEING LIKE SATAN 🤷♂️
The reason conspiracy culture and anti-Israel sentiment are going mainstream is because Satan is preparing the Gentile nations to see the God of Israel as the grand conspirator against humanity, and to fight against Him at Armageddon. (Rev 19:19)
The world will believe they’re fighting Satan. That’s why “Christian” nationalism is rising right now. The crusader spirit/beast must rise to trample the holy city for 42 months. (Rev 11:2) To “purify the holy land and take the Kingdom by force.”
YHWH will utterly crush them. The Lion of the tribe of Judah, King Jesus, will return to a repentant Jerusalem, destroy His enemies, establish the Millennial Kingdom in Zion, and raise the saints in glorified bodies.
And when Satan is released after the thousand years, he will use the same narrative to stir the nations once again.
That a “false Jewish god” has taken over the world.
That humanity is trapped under a New World Order.
That the “truthers” were right all along.
That benevolent light beings are guiding the “righteous rebellion.”
And that liberation requires defeating “YHWH and the Jews.”
When you read between the lines of what’s happening now, and what has already happened before, it becomes impossible to ignore where everything is headed.
Jew-haters: "Paul wasn't Jewish!"
Paul: "[I am] of the people of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews!" (Philippians 3:5)
Jew-haters: "Fine! He was Jewish, but he wasn't a Pharisee!"
Paul: "My brothers, I am a Pharisee, descended from Pharisees." (Acts 23:6)
No one religion actually understands it. Even Christianity, due to being largely Supersessionist, largely rejects the words of the Prophets.
Ezekiel describes it.
Isaiah describes it.
Jeremiah describes it.
Zechariah describes it.
Other Prophets who spoke in the holy name of G-d describe it.
What exactly?
The Prophets irrefutably declare that the Lord is returning to dwell in Zion and the Jewish people will all know G-d because of their receiving a new covenant which replaces their figurative heart of stone with a heart of flesh. This new covenant will allow them to walk in pleasing obedience to G-d.
This coming redemption of the Jew and the coming glorification of Zion will occur as a result of the Time of Jacob's Trouble and the subsequent Second Coming.
Fascinating times ahead!

In honor of Charlie Kirk, I am going to start keeping the Sabbath. He spent a lot of time talking about how it changed his life and how important it was for him and his family time.
I know he was writing a book on this as well, I hope it will still come out.
But I am going to start keeping the Sabbath.
