Christianity teaches that everyone struggles with sin, you, me, your family, everybody. Those struggles are our “inner demons,” but that doesn’t make a human being literally demonic or the Devil. Once you start convincing yourself that your own family (who in this case got him into Christianity in the first place) aren’t really people but evil entities, especially while bringing up someone who killed his kids for that exact belief, you’ve gone way beyond a normal discussion about sin. That kind of thinking should be taken seriously, not encouraged.
