Site where people honestly share stories about mental health. Sometimes we think about cake. But mostly that first thing. Edinburgh Student Award Nominee.
This week’s post is about getting sober. It’s about learning, sometimes the hard way, what’s best for you. It’s about needing to be brave and tough and determined to heal. We’re very proud of it and we’d love you to take a look. https://t.co/nNjD4K1xpM
Sorry we've been away for so long friends - the site's main editor has been going through a difficult time and suddenly needed to step away for a while. But we're back and we're excited to share with you all all over again.
It annoys me when people talk about being medication free as though it’s a brag. It’s fine to live without psychiatric medication but there are some of us who need it and that doesn’t mean we have failed in any way. Medication saves lives and it’s there for a reason.
I've said it before and I'll say it again - you do NOT have to put up with toxic behaviour just because you're related. If you wouldn't take it from a stranger, why should you take it from a family member? Blood isn't everything.
@barry_happy means so much to so many people because she's honest. We know if she posts something joyful, she means it and if she's sad, she'll mean that too. We feel like we can trust her and we feel like she knows what we're going through. We need more of that.
We've added @FearlesslyMag to the site's list of resources - an amazing resource and zine addressing mental health and feminism and how the two intersect. So worth checking them out!
Please don't ever let anyone take away from the brave stuff you do.
No matter how big or small, it takes courage to break free from anxiety or fear & push through.
You ABSOLUTELY deserve to celebrate every tiny victory 🌈
A little while ago we did a piece on trying (and in this case, failing) to get help with your mental health and we’d love to do a part two. If anyone has a story about getting help they’d like to share it would be amazing if you’d get in touch #mentalhealth
If you've read our latest post and are interested in watching the @johngreen video we reference in it - here it is. If you haven't read our latest post, the link's in the bio 😉

@johngreen completely doesn't know it but he really, really influenced this week's post. It's a story by @clarerobb17 about how the combination of one of John's videos and some really quite amazing friends helped her to heal. Why not take a look?
