I lost half a million dollars in crypto earlier in 2026.
Strangely, it still feels like I lost nothing.
Not because I’m a millionaire or have money in abundance.
I learned that some things are more valuable than money: your mind, your peace, and your freedom.
Money can be lost and made back. A portfolio can recover. Bags can be rebuilt.
But when you lose yourself, your peace of mind, or your freedom, getting those back is a much harder fight.
I felt the pain when it happened. I won’t pretend I didn’t.
I’m in a different state of mind now. I’m rebuilding, one loss at a time, one bag at a time.
Maybe that’s what wealth really means to me now.
Not just how much money you have, but how much freedom you have, how well you sleep, and whether you still have yourself when the money is gone.
That’s why this account is called BagFiles.
Not just a place to talk about bags.
A place to document the wins, the losses, the mistakes, the lessons, the comebacks and the stories behind them.
Everyone has a bag they lost, a bag they caught, or a story they’ve never told.
BagFiles is where we share them.
BREAKING: The SEC is providing clearer guidance that certain staking activities and staking-related tokens are not securities.
Either way, greater regulatory clarity for crypto is taking shape.
this cycle isn’t like any other cycle
the closest comparison i see is the 2020 DeFi expansion, when an entirely new vertical brought billions of dollars onchain
this time, stablecoins and especially tokenized stocks are opening another new lane for crypto
institutional capital, retail and developers are all entering through different channels, while the market structure itself has played out differently from prior four-year cycles
trying to map this cycle one-to-one with the last one could miss what’s actually changing in front of us
@KillaXBT The hardest part is usually not finding the perfect entry it’s actually having a plan and sticking to it. Waiting forever for the perfect dip can leave you watching from the sidelines
@WatcherGuru That’s an interesting signal ahead of the Trump–Xi meeting. AI cooperation or at least avoiding escalation around superintelligence could have major implications for the global tech race.
@Polymarket That’s a sharp escalation in rhetoric at the UN. With tensions already high, the focus now is whether diplomacy can keep the situation from escalating further.
@unusual_whales 7.25% mortgage rates put a serious squeeze on housing affordability. Borrowing costs are becoming a much bigger factor in the housing market.
@KillaXBT Exactly. The market doesn’t owe us a rational move sometimes the hardest part is accepting that price can stay irrational longer than your thesis can stay intact.
@KillaXBT The 80–95K range could get very interesting. If BTC keeps printing higher highs while pullbacks stay controlled, that $126K target starts becoming a serious level to watch.
