This is absolutely true, which is why artists like Beyoncé have mastered the craft of superstardom. 💡
As a public figure whose success depends on audience engagement, oversaturation can actually lead to public disinterest. When people see you in a great film or listen to a beautifully crafted body of work, and it leaves an impression, it creates desire. It makes them want more. They’re more likely to tune into an interview, seek out a performance, or engage with your presence because it feels intentional, rare and earned.
Great artists understand that they have agency over how much of themselves they share. The problem with today’s wave of “relatability” is that some artists become overly accessible, constantly online, engaging with every trend, every comment. And with that comes media coverage of the most mundane aspects of their lives. Eventually, the mystery fades. The public gets turned off.
At the end of the day, it should be about the work. Make people crave the art, the presence, the story, not just the personality.
And honestly, it’s healthier for the artist too. 💡Their personal life should be theirs, not ours. But we do let it affect how we consume their art. That’s the cost of constant exposure.
That’s the difference between being a celebrity and being an artist.
@RealEmirHan It’s impossible to answer because there are so many incredible performances. But I will say I haven’t seen as much love as I should see in these for replies for Marlon Brando as Vito Corleone.
I recorded @MegaRan’s song “New Day’s World” that was played last night on WWE’s Wrestlemania! It’s the Tag Team Champions’ entry music now.
No big deal. 😹
The halftime show was more about Drake than Kendrick. 🤷🏾♂️
There was a real opportunity for Kendrick to separate himself from this dragged on beef and move forward doing his biggest hits.
Felt weird.
We love you, David Lynch. ❤️ Goodnight to a truly once-in-a-lifetime artist, who not only changed cinema forever but altered how we experience the world and showed us what it really means to dream. No more blue tomorrows.
Director-writer David Lynch, who radicalized American film with with a dark, surrealistic artistic vision in films like “Blue Velvet” and “Mulholland Drive” and network television with “Twin Peaks,” has died. He was 78. https://t.co/T2GOao28ux
@samsraps Hey there! Came across this and just wanted to throw my hat in. I’m a full time professional mix engineer with 15+ years experience that specializes in Hip-Hop. Where can I send you some examples of my work?
