BREAKING: Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) is pleased to announce a partnership and initial investment of around $100 million to develop a 100MW "Safe Grid" for Kano, Katsina, and Jigawa States, to provide 24-hour power supply to key industries, commercial hubs, and critical government infrastructure, eliminating reliance on the national grid.

Sources of power for the “Safe Grid” Project:

- 20% of the 100MW (20MW) Emergency Project which is expected to be up by enf of year

- Supply from the 10MW Haske Solar Power Plant by NSIA

-16MW Tiga and Chalawa Hydroelectric Power Plants by Kano State Government.

- And 10MW Katsina Wind Farm Project.

Making it 46MW of power in short term and planning to source the remaining 54MW from Gas and Solar Plants.

I love this and this is what we need. Progress in unity.
